I just had a Jeweler mood and he created a perfect pine opal with green diamond stuff on it. Wth is it good for?

Create a stockpile that will allow only artifact quality only of anything, then when you see its in there forbid it.

Perfect gems have no use. Unfortunately, dwarves won't be able to admire its sublimity because it's not a piece of furniture.

What you decide to do with it will mostly be for your benefit.
