P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

I use dwarf manager and it works fine for me. I give everyone custom professions and assign jobs based on those. There's a little micromanagement in terms of setting it up but if I want my 20 haulers to suddenly help on some mechanics then I just click a few buttons and off we go. I've not tried any others though :P

You all do know that we everytime we gen a world in DF, a new universe is created somewhere, and everytime we delete a save we kill a whole world?
Aye, we are Armok, god of blood, evil, villager gutting, fortress building, legend making and elf thongs.

I used Dwarf Manager for some time before using Dwarf Therapist. The changeover from DM to DT can be overwhelming with all the info, but I found it easier to get used to it by starting with a fresh new embark.

I don't think Dwarf Manager is bieng updated anymore anyways and it will be incompatible with the new release, which is soon.

My version of DM don't work with the newest mayday release.

And yes, going from DM to DT is... a Mind screw and a half.
I actually found DM easier to use.

I don't really give a crap what experience levels my dorfs are at.
What I do give a crap about is being able to easily assign dorfs to a custom profession.

Which DT seems to treat as some sort of heresy.

You see, booze is a parasite. It lives off dwarves and compels them to dig into the ground so as to create massive defences to protect it's self. It really shouldn't be called dwarf fortress, Booze fortress would make much more sense.

Hard to assign dwarfs to a custom profession?  Create custom profession, rightclick dwarf (can even shift-click or control-click to select multiples like in some other applications), choose custom profession from list, done.  Have you been doing something wrong?

I use DT for easy assignment of useless migrants to my general-labor "Grunt" custom profession and management of skills, and it works great.

why is Dwarven science always on fire?
