Wait doesn't that cause all kinds of headaches? She's a date sim character, but now also officialy married. So everytime someone playing the sim "gets it on with her", she'll be commiting adultery ???

This ties into my save state questions. I suppose one could comment on different instances of the same entity, but I'm still not sure how to deal with this.

Also, would using Cheat Engine be considered brainwashing?

Naw, that'd be like being married to the NAME of someone, rather than the physical being. I'm married to a physical being, it just so happens to be in the form of so many bytes in a game cartridge/disc. Someone else "Getting it on" with their version are simply loving a different set of identical bytes. It'd be kind've like getting pissed at someone for doing it with a woman that has the same name as your wife, but isn't your wife.

Or clones, only without the ugly business of who is the original.

In that case, I'll marry several copies of the same character.

Or clones, only without the ugly business of who is the original.
Which is why, before being cloned, you must take up a strong mindset that you will work with your clone, regardless of whether you're the original or not.  Just don't formulate plans to backstab yourself...

Ladies, ladies, let's not fight.  There's enough Cthulhu to go around. :-*

Are you implying that the clones would have copied all your memories as well as your DNA?

I laughed so hard at this.

If not, there would be no trouble determining the original since one of you will remember growing up in a vat.

Of course, as soon as that clone is created it begins having new experiences, coming to new conclusions about things, and developing its own personality.

Remember that next time someone says "Clone-sex is just masturbation"

Never heard that before, but I'll bear it in mind anyway.

I suppose the "who is the original" issue is more important if it's, say, a malicious doppelganger, but whatever.

Having clone wives is going to be SO sweet! Especially once you can custom order them from Russia or something.

Wouldn't they each insist on having clone husbands, though?
