You know, y'all act like we never had a successful Civil Rights movement before.

It is sad that such a thing doesnt exit in the practical world.

There are six billion people in your practical world.

The chances of two being nice, and meeting are not as nearly remote as you believe.

1960+:  Martin Luther King, Jr.  JFK.  Civil Rights Movement.  At least one whole new amendment getting added to the constitution to meet its demands.

I can guarantee that homosexuals will get civil rights too.  A minority wants it, and in America, while the Majority rules, the minorities get their rights.  That's how the US is supposed to be.

Remember that cowofdoom was the guy who devil's advocated for the sake of devil's advocating a while ago, to the point of being trollish.

Alright, I never said they wouldent.

The question is if it will be done in a practical ammount of time. History and the way the country works both say no.

I had a sentence detailing how much i hate you, one talking bout how my hatred of you caused me to misspell 5 times and a really long RAGE.

I don't even understand what "practical amount of time" is supposed to mean.  Anyway, gay civil rights movement has been going on for quite a long time now.  Not, I think, as long ago as the Civil Rights movement MLK, Jr was involved in started, but long enough ago that, looking at how long this sort of thing takes historically, it probably won't be to much longer before its goals start coming to fruition.

To some extent I'm with Cow. Such a movement would take a while to get accepted. And I'm a little scared of some of the ideas people hold over people who oppose such a concept. Please, lets keep our civil rights firmly in the arms of peace and understanding. Even of those who oppose you.

If you hold hate on a person to that extent then there is something wrong.

How exactly does that have any relevance to what were talking about in any way?

Your weird tangents of disliking me for no apparent reason are weird. ???

I'm a non-denomination Christian, I'm pretty sure I've said that before, but I don't really see why people fight gay marriage so hard.  It's not going to stop gay people from doing gay stuff together, they'll do that whether they're married or not.  I don't see a reason to make churches give gay marriages if they don't want to, but there's no reason to ban it altogether.

I've seen a lot of other decidedly un-Christian things done by churches, like the church that wouldn't give a practicing member of their church a funeral because he was gay.  If that's the case than no one can have a funeral, because everyone sins and God doesn't rank them.  Stuff like that's why I don't follow a specific denomination.  I'm not going to let a human, pastor or not, dictate to me what God wants.

Its because people are stupid.
