That's actually the best way to do it.

Just remember that cops, agents, and CCS will sometimes (about 33%) fight back even if the liberal is armed during the datenap scene, leading to said liberal sitting in a cold jail cell.  So don't use your founder for those types.  I usually have someone low in the command tree recruit a prostitute for such actions (low in the command tree as in reporting to someone unimportant, so I won't lose good people to racketeering charges).

Also, in the current version, fights in the crackhouses don't cause crimes.  But, the CCS will intercept your squad as you leave, should they be strong and you stay too long.  Note that "staying too long" can result from killing a conservative teenager one room away from the entrance.  Course, that might just be the Nightmare/Strong CCS version I'm playing...

Speaking of fighting in the Conservative Distopia...
Once Free Speech is +C, attack the firemen station.  Those guys got Bunker Gear and Flamethrowers.  The flamethrowers are decent at destroying property (I think it heldp shut down the Cable/AM stations), and the bunker gear is better than nothing.  (Bunker gear offers weak protection, but unlike the Body Armor it protects all parts of the body [Body Armor protects the torso only, so head shots are still brutal, at least Bunker Gear stops the occasional bullet to the head]).

On the fighting back thing - I have a really nice organization scheme, if I do say so myself. Almost everyone is neatly grouped into a squad and a job according to that squad. I have my Black Ops as a six-man abduction group -three torturers, two seductresses, and a doctor (to keep the victim from dying). I have another seductress in my juice-buffing squad (robbing apartments), so if one gets jailed I can replace her, and even if both get jailed, I'll just lose efficiency, not be shut down completely.
Everything is liberal, which sucks, because I can't find anything to fight. I can make bunker gear myself, but flamethrowers sound awesome and I can't find any because all the firefighters are liberal or moderate. Thanks for the advice, though!
How do I make things more conservative? I'm afraid I'll win before I get into the really fun stuff. If I let the CCS do its thing for a while, will it sway public opinion fast enough before everyone turns liberal?
Also, I have compiled some new info up in the first post which is cool, I hope to use all the great information you guys have given me to make a sort of guide for newbies.

EDIT: Ugh. How do I avoid losing so much juice to the friggin' eminent scientists? It's not so bad when they attack my main guy, because he heads the thief squad and can recover quickly, but the others can lose time that I was going to use doing something else. Gunning them down only gets me in trouble, too...

If society is liberal, have someone with a gun kidnap the eminent scientist before combat starts and you can prevent them from attacking you. You'll be left with them at the safehouse, however -- but you drag some interrogators over and you can try to convert them into a sleeper set to advocate liberalism, since eminent scientists will be great sleepers. In a more C+ society, the eminent scientist is likely to be armed, which will prevent you from kidnapping them easily.

Hmmm, kidnapping sounds good.

Also, I've been committing random acts of violence and generally being a soulless prat but everyone still supports liberalism! I really wanted to have some more fun before I won the game - is there some way I can delay winning? I tried idling and that didn't work, I tried killing everything that moved and that didn't work... I guess I could unlock doors while people are looking or whatnot, but will that really help?

Well... if you unlock doors in front of people, your actions there will turn into rampages. Do that for AM Radio and Cable News a few times and bring those to zero to start the re-Conserativization of society. HOWEVER, it will take a LONG time to get society to C+, even after doing this. You're probably better off just winning the game and then restarting in Nightmare Mode, where everything starts C+.

Hmmm, I think I'll go your route. I don't want the game to be difficult or make society C+ or anything like that; I merely want to delay winning until I can get a squad that I'm really proud of. Thanks your your advice!

Winning takes longer than it looks.

Trust me, when you play Nightmare Mode, your recruits level up quickly.  Or die trying.

When you're in the home stretch, focus on the polls. Get as many issues as possible over 85-90%. Once they're all in that area, things should start coming together quickly in the next few elections.

Oh god, all the polls are 98% or higher in my favor
I got to ruin my reputation fast if I want to make people hate me

All of them? Have you seen the Term Limits amendment get proposed yet? Do you have green House and Senate on the Liberal Agenda screen? The game is supposed to flip Congress and the Supreme Court pretty quickly once get that popular.

Every last one. Only a few are even 98% or 99%; most are at 100. No conservative guys, only 2 moderate House men. All justices are green too. The elite liberal amendments of taking out the archies and doing the term limits have been proposed and ratified. The four important people - president and such - are the only conservatives left. I committed a huge massacre in the apartment, but I don't know if it's enough...

Lol. I find it funny he's trying to lose, while I'm desperately trying to win. The CCS is destroying me lately, My rifle squads are having trouble killing them all.

Also, animals make shockingly good recruits! They don't have high intelligence, but their agility, which is what rifle uses, if I remember correctly, is sky high, making them incredibly deadly.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

Yep, last game the CCS completely destroyed me. The trick is to kill them before it's too late; but that's not very useful, because they are already strong in your game. Best advice I could give is get MAD MONIES first; maybe have several squads all thieving a downtown apartment at the same time if need be. Go buy swords at the Oubliette and manufacture body armor. Get some dedicated swordsmen - you'll want people who have good sword-skill capacity, not skill - and move them to a downtown apartment. Have them go out and kill maybe 3 people at a time near the entrance, then run out before the police come. Increase this as time goes on; eventually with sword skill of around 10 you can beat off maxed SWAT teams with ease. Get your dudes back home and train everyone in sword. Behead everyone. Win.

i think the best way to beat the CCS is not to do stupid things (like shooting up a reactor) so that they have no idea your there meanwhile you can get a few programmers to get some money for safehouse upgrades and then turn CCS members or agents and get them to use swords at the crack house for awhile. after that wait until the CCS sieges you at your safe house take out wounded CCS and use their armor as soon as you get them repell them and then with someone find the location of the hideout and take them out one after another until:

Thievery is, by far, the most lucrative profession out there. Your programmer can probably hack a few thousand bucks worth of secrets per month; a thief can rob around $8000 from a building per day. That's something like $250,000 for just one thief for just one month. If you have more thieves on more squads, holy mackerel, Batman, you're going to be rolling in dough.
The only thing is, it's really boring. You can't just set it on auto... but I make little nerdy challenges for myself (e.g. determining how to most efficiently steal the most stuff), so I like it.
Anyway, swords are great, yeah.

I'm noticing you're using Daisho, garfield - how does that compare with the sword of Morfiegor? I've been using morfs up till now under some recommendations...
