[40d#] Seek out Mathras, who recently suffocated

I recently sent an adventurer along with a group of dwarves to slay a former adventurer, who had retired to a human town. After the (current) adventurer died, I sent yet another adventurer to the same town, where the raiding party of dwarves were still fighting to the death; at some point, Mathras Weaverworships, High Priestess, suffocated while I was in the town.

 I asked one of the townsfolk about 'Service' and got this:

"Seek out Mathras Weaverworships here in Beardedzeniths at The Church of Growth.
In the late spring of 319 [the current year], Mathras suffocated, slain by Dak Windyzeniths in Beardedzeniths."

It seems that NPCs only update their leaders when you enter a city, but they update news about them all the time.
