That ought to be fun to look in the legends about... Using a medium size map.  Year 3700 right now.  Laptop is so much faster with df then my computer...

Unless of course all the legends says is.

  I was hoping something will come along and exterminate elves while the 10k years go by.

I hope something interesting happens at least, three million + events at least 100k or so should be remotly interesting right?

I did it once... but I had orc mod installed, so after the first few thousand, they were the only things left.
Oh, and do it while you are doing something else... because it will take like an hour to gen it all.

In the 41st millennium, there is only Dwarf.

With the Orc mod, it seems to invariably result in the orcs overrunning everything and maybe a few dwarf cities (not many) left. Without, it tends to get very static rather quickly. Every time I've done a map to year 10,000, it seems to either become the Age of Elves and stay there, or push through the Age of Heroes and then spend a little time in The Golden Age before ending up in a static pattern.

Funny, I actually did this with a pocket world recently.

The elves were instantly at war with the dwarves and goblins.  The dwarves were also at war with the goblins.  The humans sometimes attacked the elves, but eventually, they just kept to themselves.

The last attack by the goblins saw all the remaining elves killed.   Save one.  The Diplomat.  He was carted off as a prisoner to the goblin tower.

That same year saw the dwarves demolish the goblins.  The last of the elves is now a dwarven citizen.

2,000 years later, the elf becomes the dwarven leader.

5,000 years after that he became the dwarven diplomat - I mean, I guess you would want the wisest of beings to handle your diplomatic relations...

And so he lived on for a couple thousand years more, where the world gen ended and he sat as the most ancient of beings, able to recite all the lineages of his dwarven followers, and knowing only memories of his own kind.

I just tried to pull it off... unfortunately, neither elves nor half-elves (non-narrow plain-living half-cousins immortal for the sake of experiment) managed to survive long enough. They always tried to kill each other for some reason.
