Wha?  Wouldn't a cubic earth have 6 days, anyway?

Don't you dare bring 'rationality' and 'logic' into this.

You have no idea what you're messing with here.

Anywho, has anyone tried reading that site Armok linked?  It sounds like a prophecy of 4chan or something.

Holism stands for believing in being whole and Nihilism is believing in nothingness. So I assume it's something about believing everything is nothing and nothing is everything. It sounds cool. That's why I believe in it (i don't actually but, who cares? If I say I'm athiest or agnostic people go omg, you suck).

You don't like the bad reaction Atheism and Agnosticism gets you, so you're going with "Holistic Nihilism", which you can't even wholly define?  I can't imagine that elicits much better than "omg you suck, pretentiously".

People are fine with "atheist" around here.  Almost everyone in my school is non religious... certainly the majority is, anyway.

Although yeah, Holistic Nihilist does have a nice ring to it.

Sounds awesome actually.

Also, some of my best friends are atheists. Fear not.

Sometimes it seems like it's a little the reverse on this forum, sadly.  But fortunately, that's only because of a very small number of people.  Many of whom no longer participate in such discussions.

So mostly reactions to either seem neutral.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.

Holistic Nihilism

Either way you look at it:
You a person who has two completely paradoxical beliefs.
Everything is nothing.
Nothing is everything.

The two holidays are nothing day and everything day, they are always happening.

Do you celebrate Secular Christmas anyway?
(I'm sorry.  You said "holiday."  This close to it, I can't help but ask).

And a Very Merry Unbirthday to you too.  I think I can get into this.

Atheists and religious people can and do get along fine, just not always. I mean I'm catholic, Milly is atheist and Eva is... Uhh... I don't actually know what Eva is. I should ask her.

An interesting read Armok, though I've already considered most of what the article had to say. I was hoping that it would lead to some sort of revelation, unfortunately I came away with nothing, except the knowledge that not all of my ideas are completely unique. I did like the ending, even though the Shakespeare seems a little tacked on.

Not only is it not actually advertising anything, it's just copy/pasting word salads about gold, runescape, oil, yuan, and handbags.  It's like a transporter accident combined all the spambots into one shambling mass of online sales.

Well, taken out of context...

Anyway, yeah.  It shouldn't matter much at all.  We do occasionally pretend to be religious when visiting some friends, but that's more as a precautionary measure.
