Dust Theory
« on: December 16, 2009, 03:24:37 pm »

I just found THE most inspiring, beautiful, deep, and meaningful thing I ever read. It is the first time I have from an outside source experienced the same conclusions that shape, or rather define, my own thought and being, the things I feel at the very, very deepest. This is probably the most important text you will ever read in your life.

I like His Dark Materials. I should read them again.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

Now that is a good series. I read that (backwards, don't ask) and thought what a great series. Went through a Christian phase and got "rebuked" for bring it up. Apparently the main characters kill God.

Are you mocking me? I am dead serous with this, and if you are just going to mock my beliefs it would probably be better if you kept silent, or I'll report it to Toady. Seriously meant criticism is acceptable, but mockery will be seen as offensive.

I'm not mocking you. I read the Amber Spyglass and found the book to be so good and wonderful, I read the entire series backwards. Although a little more confusing that reading the books sequentially, it was one of the first books series I've read that wasn't telling to follow a mainline belief, but to follow what's right. I'm not mocking you. I put my bible in my fiction section, but it doesn't mean I scoff at Christian's beliefs.

This is why I would never want to meet Armok in a well lit room, but would be overwhelmed if I found him in a darklit alley.

Ahem.  That has some very offensive implications itself, Armok.
