The stock market is a long term thing. We should most definitely stay in.

Also, 1m/year living expenses?  :o All I can say is lol to that. We most assuredly need to cut down on the wine and women.  :D

With 1 mil a year expenses we would have been better off not even bothering, unless we were planning on living for another 500 years we could have lived quite comfortably off what we had.

Does this game allow Option trading? I know you can have Puts and Stops, but what about Options?

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

We're actually aiming for 999 years I believe.

Heh, when we have a net worth of 50 billion, 1m/year is going to look like too little.

Yes, but I have never done it.

Yep:-) 500m won't last us that long!
I only left it set for 999 years just for fun- the game will be way screwed up long before 999 comes.
Normally its best to leave it at 35 years when playing alone (or maybe even less if playing multiplayer) that way you get scored.

Don't sell yet, obviously, but we need to get out this mess ASAP.

I'd suggest selling half the stock, and investing the proceeds into a company in a strong/growing industry.  Preferably start your own company in said industry.

I find that it is much easier to make money in this game selling stock short then buying it.  Look through the listings of the industries with poor return on capital.  Find a company with poor financials and negative projected income then ride it down until it croaks or starts making a profit.  Rinse.  Repeat.
