One thing ya could do to pass the time is set all the exiled dorfs to masonry, and then build some igloos

It has been discovered that Metila's abilitly to sleep while been stepped on and while frezzing water is crashing over her is because of a ceartain dwarven bloodline. This bloodline is simply known as 'Scottish'

Journal of Brat, 12th Month Day 26.





Ups II grumbled a complaint about this Unish being selected to fix the water problem, "He ain't gonna do any work!  He's gonna sit on his duff, drink beer and watch us die on the Ice!"
Mish nodded his agreement "It would be unfair to deprive him of his win, but another should stay behind and fix the screw pump."





Ups grew red in the face and bellowed, "ONE MORE!  One more gets to stay behind"
"Oy, you're just going to keep drawing until you get picked!" Metila accused.
Ups shook his fist "I'll be damned if only military scum - who're supposed to protect us - are the ones who get to stay inside and watch us all die"



Ups II grew quiet, he knew he could drag in on no longer.  Metila, Jeerves and Unish get to stay behind.

Hey guys, look on the bright side!  It's spring.  Look at all the flowers, oh nevermind.

Mish has a pick, lets go to the South East and dig us a shelter.

Unish, Jeerves, and Metila will stay behind.

Heh. Interesting. Two military dwarfs, champions they may be, are too arrogant to do the work required to keep the fort alive. Metila has a third of the time to make the fort inhabitable again, and the rest are going southeast to build a small shelter. Fun times.

Alas, it looks as if the situation may be too dire to get out of in any case. Maybe if I am lucky enough, i might get some company. Luck has made a fool out of us before however. I just hope that i am unlucky one last time.

Out on the Ice Ups II complains about - not being able to do paper work - honestly Ups.  Your priorities are backwards.


Mish decided to dig a pit. . . which is good, because it gives us on the Ice some, erm, Ice.  To build another trade depo.  Why he decided to build one was beyond anyones mind.








Journal of Brat, 2nd year, 1st Month Day 17.
An Elven caravan has arrived!  Metila and the rest, greedily leaving their gate shut and refuse to let the elfs in.  But we ain't so inhospitable.  We've built them a depo- moments too late.  They arrived before it was finished and now simply sit at the edge of our borders, unsure of where they're supposed to go.

"Come over here!"  Urvad yelled at them!
"We have a trade depo"  Mish coaxed.
"To hell with them."  Xanthius cursed.  "We have nothing to trade out here anyway, lets kill them."
"How?"  I asked.
"Everyone stand fast near me, we'll send the lonely muskox to a meeting zone between the elfs and the undead mammoths.  They'll do the rest for us."







Journal of Brat, 2nd year, 1st Month Day 22.
Xanthius, Mish and Ups have grown thirsty on the Ice.  But the plan is working.  The Lonely Muskox slowly taunts the mammoth into approaching the Elf traders.  Inside the Ice Fortress, Metila takes a break from his lazy slow pace to take a drink.

Oh how they tugged and tugged for their pack animals to run faster.  The elfs had food, wood, and cloth.  But not a thimble of drink.

For the second named skeletal mammoth we cheer and whoop, instead of cry and mourn.

Reading this on my iPod ATM so I can't watch the movie but me likes the cunning elf death plan =D can I get a copy of unish's stats, thoughts relationships and info on whatever god he worships please?

Unish has been Ecstatic lately.  Bedroom, admired bed, sparring recently, talked with a friend, was able to rest and recuperate from her paltry bruises lately.

She is a worshiper of Som.
Som was a deity that occurs in the myths of the Ashen Paddles.  Som was most often depicted as a female dwarf and was associated with writing and poetry.

and on that note I got a poem for you:

Unish Chicken Heart
Her swift sumo moves are like no other,
A proud lady of war she bears 'er teeth,
Alas a scratch a scratch turns her fowl,
But she turns and runs just like a foul,
Bearing the chicken on ber rounded cheeks,
She always sprints away from defeat.


Jeerves is your friend.
Metila is friends with Brat.
Mostly everyone else is just a passing acquaintance of each other.




Journal of Brat, 2nd year, 1st Month Day 28.
Metilas constant naps, food and drink brakes have caused massive delays.  Her latest attempt at the pump was too far into the fortress, water froze into brand new Ice as fast as she channeled it, leaving the pump dry.  Her next attempt will bring the water close enough.  But a constructed room will be needed.

Outside the fortress, the outcasts are attempting the same thing.  With wood from the dead elfs, Mishs pick and more hands we'll see who can live out on this Ice.

Metila defiles the graves to free up space for the water christen.
