I don't know how to use maptool or openRPG, I'll take a look.  There's also RPGTonight, which is browser based.

OpenRPG turned out to be... clunky. It's probably powerful, but after Gametable, figuring it out is like trying to switch from a bicycle to a NASCAR racer. Let's see what MapTool is. On the plus side, now I have Python installed on this machine.

I think that maptool has better macros and doesn't require clearlogging. But it is more difficult to add stuff to, so you may need to prepare the quest in advance...

Oh, it may require that the DM host...

RPGTonight as I recall is web based and so you do not need to do any port forwarding.

It's web based, but it's evil. It didn't want to accept three of my emails when registering. Mail.ru, yandex.ru, and yandex.com were all banned for some reason. Thankfully, yandex provides, like, seven different mail extensions for one address, and I could get through with yandex.kz.

Then, some screens baffled me. Why is are there hexes on the map? Also, the icons they use are teh suk.

I think we should all gather on IRC to discuss this, at the next possible possibility.

So you still can't get Gametable to work?

Try reinstalling Java. And get that Process Explorer thing while you're at it - it really helps debug problems like this.

Alright. Is there still a point to waiting today? CJ is unable/unwilling to play until weekends, RAM might yet appear while Neruz should have long since been online, and on top of that we still don't know if Cthulhu will be able to use Gametable or we'll have to get acquainted with a different program.

I'm still active despite the time nearing *looks* five AM, and can keep myself that way for a while longer, but if a game doesn't begin soon...

edit: Make that "RAM has appeared".

I'm not sure, depends on if Neruz shows up and we figure out what to do about Gametable.  If not today we should probably wait till after Christmas.
