Mongols should be no problem for you.

The only worry I'd have is your disloyal vassals. If some of your vassals say No! to a mobilization request on the mongol front it may cause a bit of trouble- but even then with the size of your Kingdom it doesn't seem like anything you couldn't handle.

piety is hard to get... I fight heathens, but I get no piety from it. maybe that is only for catholics? also, letting pagans and muslims rule as vassals may not be good for my standings in the church.
of course, I could build churches but that -4% annoys me greatly. I have no pope to answer to so I'll just be as earthly as I want. If any orthodox authority complains, he is free to take his army
also, I lsoe piety by saying "he shall pay" whenever a vassal leaves. But what else could I say? He WILL pay. and soon, less than 2 years depending from distance and internal stability.

Even just having Muslims in your court will hurt you...
In fact, in the succession game I had an event fire regarding my chancellor, a pagan. The church was pissed I had him employed... I had him executed (I honestly didn't realize he was pagan to start with).

I never have Muslim vassals... I think it is a little unrealistic and way too easy. Just as I never grant titles to women and hardly ever to children. Of course, I usually play Catholic realms, too.

Not being catholic seems quite good If I couldn't use pagans and muslims as vassals, then I couldn't expand to be so big. Anyway, it has no effect on my faith and it spares me all the revolts.
low faith is just because of the vassals breaking free, I get one or 2 each year when I am lucky.

I did not get as much playing in over the weekend as I expected... Christmas stuff take-down and cleanup took up much of my time. But I do have some notes, I just keep forgetting to upload the images when I am at the right computer.
Following the last update things were pretty quite for a while in-game, so I was not overly excited about writing a boring update:-)

It will also be hard for me to get as much CK time in as I am currently overly enjoying 7.62. You can blame 'salem' the one post wonder for resurrecting the thread, resulting in my buying and getting hooked on the game. But I figure I can still get a few years of CKDV in everyday in addition to 7.62 play time.

1. You're playing an Orthodox prince.
2. You accepted a Muslim into your court, who now rules a county (he's the vassal labeled a "rue?", as opposed to a "count").

I am. I semi-randomly chose Belgrade, and Belgrade happened to be Orthodox.

Partially true. I did technically accept a Muslim into my court. But, there was no easy (possible?) way for me to know this prior to taking him in. You are only told their status and name with no link to their profile. Regardless, I'd do it again to help legitimize my conquests in more than just a religious way. I am also quite proud to say I converted him to Orthodoxy. If I remember I'll get a screen shot of him/his province; they are Orthodox.

I made a little boo-boo uploading images for the next update... somehow a lot of extra stuff got in there... I am going to deal with it by just re-uploading around noon, then I can write a quick update.

It is a new year.

The Principality receives mixed reviews during my yearly audit. We have a positive cashflow and treasury, something that is frighteningly abnormal these past years, but good. But at the same time I am overwhelmed by the amount of management I must devote to the numerous provinces in my demesne... my steward is only able to maintain 55% efficiency and the realm is at a -2 stability level... add in my tarnished reputation and we have a number of problems in the realm. Revolts are common to the point of annoyance.
But, despite the setbacks, progress continues. The new year marks the completion of a rebuilt forestry in Belgrade and a new bit of common legislation. As per my normal ruling I grant extra power to nobles when demanded.
