Mongols should be no problem for you.

The only worry I'd have is your disloyal vassals. If some of your vassals say No! to a mobilization request on the mongol front it may cause a bit of trouble- but even then with the size of your Kingdom it doesn't seem like anything you couldn't handle.

I notice you are not a man of God, though... 82 piety, even when just heathen bashing? ouch...

piety is hard to get... I fight heathens, but I get no piety from it. maybe that is only for catholics? also, letting pagans and muslims rule as vassals may not be good for my standings in the church.
of course, I could build churches but that -4% annoys me greatly. I have no pope to answer to so I'll just be as earthly as I want. If any orthodox authority complains, he is free to take his army :)
also, I lsoe piety by saying "he shall pay" whenever a vassal leaves. But what else could I say? He WILL pay. and soon, less than 2 years depending from distance and internal stability.

This...
Even just having Muslims in your court will hurt you...
In fact, in the succession game I had an event fire regarding my chancellor, a pagan. The church was pissed I had him employed... I had him executed (I honestly didn't realize he was pagan to start with).

I never have Muslim vassals... I think it is a little unrealistic and way too easy. Just as I never grant titles to women and hardly ever to children. Of course, I usually play Catholic realms, too.

Not being catholic seems quite good :D If I couldn't use pagans and muslims as vassals, then I couldn't expand to be so big. Anyway, it has no effect on my faith and it spares me all the revolts.
low faith is just because of the vassals breaking free, I get one or 2 each year when I am lucky.

Yes, I can tell:-)
You have inspired me to play more Orthodox realms:-)

EDIT:
I will probably not have another update for a while... cuz I'd rather play than update and weekends are good for playtime.
So the good news is I will have lots to update at end of this weekend.

Has there been anything new? It sounds like you've played (probably a bit anyway) since the last update and I'd like to know what's happening with your empire-to-be!

I did not get as much playing in over the weekend as I expected... Christmas stuff take-down and cleanup took up much of my time. But I do have some notes, I just keep forgetting to upload the images when I am at the right computer.
Following the last update things were pretty quite for a while in-game, so I was not overly excited about writing a boring update:-)

It will also be hard for me to get as much CK time in as I am currently overly enjoying 7.62. You can blame 'salem' the one post wonder for resurrecting the thread, resulting in my buying and getting hooked on the game. But I figure I can still get a few years of CKDV in everyday in addition to 7.62 play time.

Huh... I'll have to look into 7.62.  Looking forward to the update!

Excuse me Goron, but aren't the following two things true in this LP?

1. You're playing an Orthodox prince.
2. You accepted a Muslim into your court, who now rules a county (he's the vassal labeled a "rue?", as opposed to a "count").

Both of which are cool and add to the LP.

1. You're playing an Orthodox prince.
I am. I semi-randomly chose Belgrade, and Belgrade happened to be Orthodox.
2. You accepted a Muslim into your court, who now rules a county (he's the vassal labeled a "rue?", as opposed to a "count").
Partially true. I did technically accept a Muslim into my court. But, there was no easy (possible?) way for me to know this prior to taking him in. You are only told their status and name with no link to their profile. Regardless, I'd do it again to help legitimize my conquests in more than just a religious way. I am also quite proud to say I converted him to Orthodoxy. If I remember I'll get a screen shot of him/his province; they are Orthodox.

I made a little boo-boo uploading images for the next update... somehow a lot of extra stuff got in there... I am going to deal with it by just re-uploading around noon, then I can write a quick update.

1139
It is a new year.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Principality receives mixed reviews during my yearly audit. We have a positive cashflow and treasury, something that is frighteningly abnormal these past years, but good. But at the same time I am overwhelmed by the amount of management I must devote to the numerous provinces in my demesne... my steward is only able to maintain 55% efficiency and the realm is at a -2 stability level... add in my tarnished reputation and we have a number of problems in the realm. Revolts are common to the point of annoyance.
But, despite the setbacks, progress continues. The new year marks the completion of a rebuilt forestry in Belgrade and a new bit of common legislation. As per my normal ruling I grant extra power to nobles when demanded.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I am 24 and relatively healthy. My three sons will hopefully grow to be strong and wise.

Karvuna is in open revolt
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I am through with negotiations and kindness- especially when the peasants raise arms. They will be destroyed like their predecessors.

My wife's health has deteriorated
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The doctors say she has worms, like a dog. I openly tell her I am glad for her ailment; now she may feel a physical pain like the emotional pains she caused me when she 'lost' my money...
She is also somehow my steward again. It seems she is good at weaseling her way into positions of power. I will flog those that allowed her to trick them into granting her the position!

My nephew has finished his education
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
He became a charismatic negotiator. It is a pity he is tainted with Rad's blood. While I trust Rad enough to be my chancellor, I do not trust him or his kin enough to not try and manipulate their way into my seat of power...

I am rebuilding the court of justice that was destroyed in Rostov
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I can only hope the rebels do not destroy this one as well.

My boy Dauid is 5
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I will send him to train at the monastery. His ecclesiastical education will be rounded and useful.

In order to combat diminished tax revenues from revolts and instability, I am commissioning a moneylender in Bilyar
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I have not been to the province in several years, but the governor claims the land is economically powerful and at peace- despite the mostly Muslim population. I must remember to order a church built there soon...

Little Macbeatha is 1
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I have a good feeling about this one. Something about his name makes me think of great success and comedy. I will send him to be raised by nannies

What can I say... I have needs.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
...even if I'm stuck with a she-devil.

Vysheslav, Count of Naissus and Vidin, is not the most loyal of my vassals
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
In fact, my spies say his loyalty deteriorates with every month. I must keep my eyes on him. Even if he is my... half-nephew...?

My spy's first monthly report on Vusheslav was surprising
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It seems Vesheslav has granted the title of Vidin to his son, Danilo
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This is actually quite relieving... Danilo is devotedly loyal to me and shows no signs of changing.

Time to rebuild the court of justice in Karvuna
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Although they act as a money sink, they also bring order and legal protections to the burghers, which in turn makes them more happy. With Karvuna not in revolt, I will act to make and keep the people happy.

Just as I was readying to celebrate the end of the year I receive news pagan problems from Rostov
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
What do I care?

1140
This year starts off much like last year
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
In fact... nothing really has changed at all. Stability, reputation, revolts are still a problem.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
And I am still much the same- just a year older and with another child on the way.

My lack of a diocese bishop has finally been noticed by the authorities of the Orthodox Church
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I would be delighted to grant a bishop a place in my court. My existing lack of a bishop was not by choice.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
For the first time since 1128 the realm has a Diocese Bishop and the court is full.

Rebels have spread into Ryazan
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I look forward to rounding them up for the hangman.

A new Pope
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Papal State's recent troubles are proof that this man has no real contact with God.

Due to my decree that all rebels die, I no longer must make decisions to hang them- that is just the default
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Rostov is minus some troublemakers.

A bastard son of another ruler doesn't find my court suitable to his needs
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Tough! He can find somewhere else to live! And good riddance, that man is dangerous. A noble schizo-bastard is scarier than an army of Muslims!

Bean-Alban gave birth to a daughter
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
She will be named Eudoxia, after my sister.

I laugh
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
These guys just can't seem to last- why they bother trying again, I don't know...

I send my daughter Zoe to be raised by nannies
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Even at 1 she is good with numbers, I hope to cultivate her skills.

The woman has pushed me to my limit!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
She has once again somehow weaseled her way into the position of steward, and now she is complaining about me not valuing her abilities!
I order Irina, my spymaster to get to work:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
and I am wifeless.

I am through with women for love. I've ordered my clerks and courtiers to find a woman of suitable skill to replace my wife, excuse me, my late wife as steward
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They have returned to me with news of a woman in Cofru with the uttermost amazing skills with numbers and money manipulation. I send my desire of marriage to the Count of Corfu.

Is anyone really surprised?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I for one, am not.

Excellent
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Count of Corfu has accepted my marriage proposal. I take the marriage duty of 289.6 gold. For that is all she is to me: a means to more gold.

Time to fulfill my desire to build a church in Bilyar
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
May the heathens find the true one and only God!
And while I'm at it, I'll commission the construction of a court of justice in Galaz
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Hopefully some law will help to subjugate the peoples- I mean, make them happier.

Money is flowing in to the treasury quickly. It is also flowing out just as quickly
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
My most recent expense will be a new forestry in Rostov... why I bother with the rebellious province... I don't know.

1141
When I get older, and have a written account of my life and rule made, I will declare these years 'the boring years'
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Once again, nothing has changed on a grand scale. Stability is lacking in the realm, my reputation is tarnished, and we are at a mere 55% efficiency level...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I am also much the same as the last several years- just older.

Like usual, my input is not required on this decision, my people know what to do:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Eventually the swine will run out of troublemakers...

GOD DAMN
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I am cursed by traitorous women! Women are inherently evil. Eve's treachery is bred into every woman- and I have been cursed by two of the worst!

Rad, my chancellor and brother-in-law  thinks prestige and skills should be rewarded
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I rebuff such an outrageous demand! I am in no mood for more bitching from anyone- husband of my sister or not. I have been furious these last two months and I will continue my foul mood until the realm is back out of debt at the least!

Well... at least I am not so weak and feeble as the Papal State
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They cannot maintain a position for long, always coming and going.

The revolt in Ryazan is having a negative effect on the local economy- it seems the peasants are suffering because they are too busy revolting to take care of themselves
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I have no pity for them. I punish the outlaws!

My new Jezebel of a wife is just as bad as my previous one
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I cannot afford to lose her for two reasons... one, I need her skills to expedite the realm's economic recovery (from the problem she got us in); two, I fear the results of her being in another realm- should she birth a child with another ruler I could have a horrible claimant war on my hands.

Irina, my mother and spy master, has recovered from a stressful time in her life
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I need her to stay sharp! I have enemies all around me it seems, even in my own bedchamber!

Instability, debt, and inefficiency is taking a toll on my frontier provinces
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It is very difficult to maintain authority in a province that is so far away.

My daughter Vezhav is 6
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I will send her to be raised at the monastery. Hopefully the men of god can help fight the inherent evil she possesses due to being a woman, and a spawn of my evil past wife.

I send Eudoxia to be raised by nannies
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I'll likely send her to the monastery when she is older, like her sister.

1142
The new year brings troubles beyond imagination
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
My huge demesne is hard to administer. Nearly every choice I have available to me on how to cope is riddled with troublesome possible results...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I decide I must multitask. Such an effort has been known to drive rulers insane, previously... I can only hope I do not follow suite. But, should I manage to handle the situation well, I will be otherwise OK, in fact, I'll be even more skilled.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Thank God for my health and mental wellness...
My occasional spy report from Naissus reveals that Vesheslav has passed
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
His son, Danilo, has inherited Naissus in addition to his previous holding, Vidin
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The man remains loyal to me, still with no sign of that changing - even despite my late last year's enactment of scutage.
