He means the little grassy spot on the right side of the screenie - effectively, how many z-levels you have.

The plateau to the left of my tower is one of the highest parts of my mountain (along with the Finger of Armok a little ways offscreen), and is roughly 100 z-levels above the valley floor.

What about the mines of Moria? Is there a map of that lying about?

As far as mythological constructions are concerned, I don't know of very many. In fact, the aforementioned Tower of Babel is the only one I can come up with. Except of course Babylon's Hanging Gardens. I think you'll have more luck with actual historical locations, like the Great Pyramids, the Great Wall of China, a real-world skyscraper or dam (saw a dam mega-project once and it looked so great), and so on.

Also, based off of the giant mecha from back there: since the Stonesense interior reminded me so much of X-Com UFO Defense, what about recreating one of those big UFOs from that game? Prolly a bad idea, but would look sorta neat. Just gotta find an Elerium-115 vein .

Bad idea?  Nonono, that's a good awesome idea.

In fact, someone should try making a fort that is structured like an X-Com base, and then have a battle ship near the hangers.  Bonus if invaders have to come through the battle ship to get to the base.
