After a brief debate, and a small bag of silver, the wizard left with the boy. He spent the next twenty years learning magic. He's had a bit of trouble harnessing his power, and his love of collecting shiny things occasionally got him into trouble. Still, he stands ready to face the trials that will grant him full wizard-hood. (The fast way. He can't be bothered to spend another twenty years reading books.)
