I put two types into mine, depending on the type.

Bastard mods of mine will typically have a town-based break in it.  The town is basically screwed unless they find the break, but they will just about win if they figure it out.  Mafia's goal, then, is to make sure the town doesn't figure it out.

Failed-team breaks: if everyone plays normally then both sides will play generally equally.  However, if one side really messes up, the other side may find a way to break the game and make it a complete win on their side.

i.e. A mafia winning one of the worlds in Parallel very VERY early, thus letting them use their role powers and their NK to evil effect.

My friends have played something they called "Real Life Mafia" wherby everyone has to run around the church, scumhunting, and the mafia has a chance to kill someone every now and again.  The way the votes worked was a bit vague, but it was kinda interesting.

Their "Real Life Cluedo" was equally strange, and there was even a game mod walking around randomly locking and opening doors.

The game would flow VERY differently from a normal mafia game, especially since much of it would be in private (thanks to the different rooms) but it can be done.  I can even see how roles will fit in (i.e. everyone can 'investigate' a room but cops will get much more information..) and I have an idea on how lynchings will work (in the main hall/main thread)

the only big hurdle I have is how movement will work.  I can't just let people move around freely: it will have to be turn based instead.  Perhaps have things spread out into two parts per day/night, where you can chose to move to another place or perform an action.

After writing that...it's coming together better.  I was pondering about how all of the various ways you can affect the game will work but really, I could just KISS the thing and start it off simple.. go to this room, act in this manner.. cops can investigate a room.. doctors protect by keeping close to a person... so on.  Still very rough in my mind (especially in looking for game breaks.. there's a nasty one in my mind already I'm trying to take down)

On topic, is there any way to redeem oneself from, say, a B+ to an A- during the season?

One the one hand, very questionable.  It's mostly a matter of emergencies or RP unexpected messes that cause a grade change. 

On the other, hosts are allowed to do what they wish with their games.  If you're mostly thinking of trying to join N-Mountainous, for example, I'd let you in.

Part of the joy of this being Beta. I can be silly like that.  When Season 1 starts, I'll be more strict.

Paranormal 12 has ended.

rickvoid vanished from the game. He later apologized and apparently it had to do with his wife's pregnancy, but I still had to replace him without him letting me know he was going to be gone first.

ToonyMan subbed in for rickvoid.

MagmaDeath requested a replacement and was gone until the end of the game. No replacement was found.
