I once added the [TAMEABLE] and [trAINABLE] tags to unicorns, and then ended up with a soldier with an artifact unicorn leather shield and an army of war unicorns. He died holding off the HFS.

Update 2- December 10, 2009,  25th Galena, 254, Late Summer

Not much happened since first update. I added the necessary [PET] and [trAINABLE] tags that I forgot earlier. I designated the elaborate trap system itself, but am waiting for my few, unskilled mechanics to make the necessary mechanisms and build the darn things.

One thing I forgot:

only comes as a single unit so a breeding pair in any game would be impossible. If there is success in frog demon breeding, I might fiddle with some utilities to turn one of my kittens into the opposite gender (but thats a while from now).

Overall a pointless post, but I found it somewhat necessary. I just wanted to let you know the exact progress, to let you know that I am sticking to the idea and as a meager attempt to un-de-rail (re-rail?) the thread.

On a relevant note, [SPHERE:FIRE] is a tag that makes the demon associated with fire, it doesn't make it actually light things on fire. Removing the fire breath might have been smart, though.

Yeah, the sphere does not do anything really.
Its sad about him removing the firebreath. Its a nice thing to have. I use it with dragons. Have them toast hairy dwarves and smelly elves.

Can't you capture one from the goblins?

I'm fairly certain you need to add the [CHILD] tag if you want them to breed.

Update 3- December 12, 2009  14th Timber, 254, Late Autumn

I completed the traps and breached the HFS. Trapping them was easy, but it took a lot longer than I thought. With most of the demons in cages, I still have to wait for the last few that are still in there (i am sure of it). Once all the demons are in the cages, I will start reloading the traps, and the real science can be committed.

I also did more work with the raws.
-Changed [PET] to [PET_EXOTIC]
-[CHILD:1] number is low to make research quicker
-[CHILDNAME:spawn]
-[PETVALUE:1000] (1250 for Demon)
-[SPECNAME:female:demoness:demonesses:demoness] for extra flavor
-[liTTERSIZE:1:2]

Update 4- December 13, 2009  5th Moonstone, 254 Early Winter

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I have decided to take a more role-playing approach to this, since most of the modding/editing is done with and to make it more interesting by making a sort of background story. From now on, I will put journal entries, dialogues, etc in a spoiler. Anything else that wouldn't fit in context I will put here.
