Don't worry, somebody will surely show up.

By the way, how's you pretender doing, Belac? Is it just me, or is he... you know, dead?

For the moment (he died a couple turns back when he blundered into the Atlantian Kraken plus a large Atlantian army).  However, I have priests praying for his return, he had no magic, and I just won two battles last turn, so I hope to force whoever is playing Atlantis to spend my God's recovery time at least a little on the defensive.

There's a reason I brought war up. Is there some sort of mechanic that allows flying creatures (only Caelum?) to move through conquered terrotory into enemy lands? You know, like tanks do in Axis and Allies? or is there a low enough leveled spell that transports entire armies?  ???

I tried to play chess but two of my opponents were playing competitive checkers as a third person walked in with Game of Thrones in hand confused cause they thought this was the book club.

Yeah having flying means you can travel over enemy territory and attack behind their front lines. It's dangerous though because and units that retreat have to retreat to an enemy territory which kills them.

Edit: also, nothing personal with the attacks, but your disease-y dominion's a little too strong and too close for comfort.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Gateway, it is an Astral spell in Thaum 4 or 5, transports the caster and all units under his command (equip with leadership boosting items if your only caster is a Leadership 10 mage) to a target province.  The target province must be friendly and must contain a lab.  For late game there is the Astral Travel spell that does the same thing but the target province doesn't need a lab and can be enemy territory.  For commanders, there is Teleport and Cloud Trapeze.  Remember that magic travel takes place before all other mundane movement.

For extra fun, have all air mages cloud trapeze into the same province!
Extra fun if enemy province!
Extra-Extra fun if they never stay in one province for more than one turn!
Extra-Extra-Extra fun if they jack up taxes, hire mercs, boost PD, and hire max warriors while in enemy province!

Oh, come on! Why does nobody want to take over Atlantis?
Do you like swimming? Do you find listening to the sound of ocean waves pleasant? Do you own a fish tank and spend hours watching those little buggers swim back and forth? Have you ever dreamt of being a giant lobster? Are you thirsty?
If you've answered yes to any one of those questions, taking over Atlantis might be the right thing for you to do!

Saltwater doesn't quench thirst

Yeah, schedule still not open, and expected to get worse.  Law School.

I'm a new player looking to get into my first multiplayer game. this game seems like an opportunity to jump right into the water. yes it will be as a sub not from the start, but it's better than nothing  ;)
so I guess you guys can count me in for the Atlantis replacement, hopefully I won't screw it up too badly  :-[

I take all the credit for drawing BlackGuard into this game. My shrewd and witty advertisment obviously did the trick.
All of you can show your appreciation in-game, by sending me copious amounts of magical gems. Prefferably without SCs attached.

RESPECT MAH DIVINITAH!

Anyhow, whenever Blackguard is ready we can begin again.  I will return the turn timer to 48h starting next turn.
