yeah, being a new player and all it's hard for me to say whether the previous Atlantis player was actually winning in the war with R'lyeh or whether it's just me that screwed things up, but I agree with Belac, things are looking pretty grim for me. however that's far from saying I give up or anything of that sort, I've still got plenty of fight in me and seeing that neither R'lyeh nor myself are really swimming in gold right now, I suspect this fight won't be over so soon  ::)

Hi.
Captain Planet!! is back, connected, and ready to fight.
By fight, I mean to get royally pounded by Ulm while mercilessly crushing Caelum under various pangean species' hooves.

I think the only mistake you made that I can identify was massing an army just on my cap instead of taking out my outlying forts.  I recruited a whole lot while waiting for you to break down those walls.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't submitted my turn. I'm having issues with my laptop, I'm going to pick up a new power cord this afternoon and things should be back in order.

Uhh I'm getting an error that my Dominions is out of date. Is this happening for others (do I really just need an update?) and if we update will it mess up the saves?

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Just update your installation to 3.24, which is mostly bugfixes anyway, so there shouldn't be any problems with saves from previous versions.

oh, and is this not weird? I've been trying for some time in the past to catch spies with my centaur archer patrolling force, but to no avail. Now I got some animals to do the same job and suddenly they've caught three spies at once.

Hold on a second, everybody!
I've just seen the stalling data, and it seems that Tien Chi failed to submit three turns in a row, while Ulm hadn't sent his save for the last two turns.

Are Wiles and slMagnaox no longer playing or what?(I knew it was too quiet on the Ulmish front)
That would suck horribly, for not only are they two of the most powerful players, but we'd have to(if it's even possible) to roll back two or three turns, which is a hassle.

Yeah.... I guess I don't really care what we end up choosing, but it would suck if they had wanted to keep playing and had just forgotten about it or something. I'm sending them PMs just to bring them here and let us know what's going on.

If you guys are in need of a replacement, I'm willing to join in.  While I've never played Dominions 3, I've played turn based strategy and RTS games since literally 5 years old with Romance of the Three Kingdoms and I'm willing to learn all the nuances and so forth, assuming I'm able to download the game somewhere.

You will be able to download the game somewhere, but the rules of the forum forbid us from disclosing where.  You'll also need to find a keygen somewhere, which you will be able to do.

Note that this game is very time-intensive.  Completing a simple single player game takes about 12-24 hours.  Multiplayer turns take at about an hour long.

Kebooo is an avid fan of Emperor of the Fading Suns. Dominions just doesn't compare to EOFS when it comes to the lenght of play. It just doesn't compare.

How often would you say the multiplayer turns are?

Which patch are you guys using?  I'd like to give the game at least a cursory look-over before committing (if you even need me).
