Sent turn 26 just a moment ago, will submit turn 27 in about an hour.
I'm still connectivity-impaired, so bear with me.

Ugh. Captain Planet was imprisoned that whole time? I really have a lot to learn about this game...

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

It's not like it's gonna help me much at this point.
The mistakes had been already made, and even Captain Planet is not enough of a hero to stop the pollution from spreading.

I'm totally not spreading defeatist propaganda to make me look weak and vurnelable.

Pff you managed to take my capital and kill my pretender without yours even being in play, not a whole lot of sympathy from me  :P

Hmm... so what are my options when the only ally I thought I had decides that T'ien Ch'i doesn't actually care about honor? Yay suicide raids!

(Also, I'm really, really confused how my dominion keeps increasing even when my god is dead and more of my temples are destroyed each turn. Heck, if me losing provinces is as closely tied to my dominion rising as it looks like it is, I just have to wait for Pangaea and T'ien Ch'i to finish me off and I'll win by default. Also, when I lose does someone get my gems? Or do they just disappear?)

When you lose, your treasury, gems and lab items vanish.  Burn 'em up and fight to stay alive.

Temple checks and dominion spread are die rolls and if you took a strong dominion score from the outset your dominion can continue to spread even if you lose temples.  Also your prophet spreads dominion like a temple I think.  Get your priests to call your pretender back.

Ulm will be your ally, we are fighting Pangaea too you know.  Not very efficiently, but fighting none the less.

What is going on in the oceans, you two still slugging it out down there?

Gosh, my application for military support must've finally reached proper authorities at T'ien Ch'i. Took it only half a year or so.

(ninja'd)Your dominion is spread no only by temples, but also by your home province and your prophet(both of which you might be devoid of at this point, but for the sake of clarity). Your god simply acts as one 100% certain spread, plus two temple-strenght ones. And if your pretender was strong in dominion(which he was), while e.g. mine isn't, each temple spread is much more effective.

I find it funny that I was sent a warning from T'ien Ch'i that you were trying to recruit them to your cause, only to be reassured that they were my ally and then... oops, maybe not.

Also, the efforts of Ulm are definitely appreciated and I'm not planning on going down without some, at the very least, extended harassment.

C'tis went down. You're going down, I'm going down. It's all according to an evil Ulmish scheme.

Well, if I can swap the order of the last two and go down after you, I'll be satisfied.

I just got back, and I'll get to the turn asap!

You know I honestly did not plan on attacking Caelum after I was done with C'tis. But with you being the highest in dominion and me the lowest and with all those temples along my border I couldn't help but think that at this moment in time you were a more imminent (and insidious!) threat to me then any of my other neighbours. If it makes you feel any better I felt bad when I sent the first army out into your territory. I'm usually not too good at back-stabby games.  :P

Haha yeah... the temples were mainly to keep C'tis's dominion out of mine because it was pretty strong too. At least I think it was C'tis, since it seems to be mostly gone now. Oh well, I have a hard time expanding and fortifying at the same time, so I end up basically a somewhat fortified front line with a squishy, gooey mage-and-gem-filled center.

We are definitely slugging it out.  R'lyeh looks to be slowly throttling Atlantis--we both have the other's capital under siege (he's got just a scout on mine, but a big army on a neighboring fort of mine), but I have an army moving to relieve the siege and Atlantis seems not to, plus I'm sieging another of his forts which will soon capitulate.  His god is now dead and I can't find many of his priests, so I'm hoping he stays dead.  My main problem is that he's raiding me so effectively that I'm too cash-strapped to hit him everywhere he's weak, plus my armies are tied up in sieges/chasing down his remaining field army.  Give me a few lucky gold events and he'll go down twice as quick (I think once this one fort of his is stormed and that one army of his sieging my fort is beaten, the end will come quicker).
