After SHAD0Wdump urged me to start my own game i finally found some time to work out some basics. This incarnation of MTG RTD is still
based on this thread, therefor MTG related, with a few differences:
Mana system: you start with a small manapool holding only 4 mana at max, by casting spells you will increase that maximum. Mana is now bound to a color, you will generate 1 mana at the end of each turn, manapools try to balance themselves.
Items and library: every player has his own 4 Dimensional Space, allowing him to store his cards.
taking a defined card out of it takes time.
CARDS: cards do not crumble, instead they become unusable for a certain number of turns. This number is determined randomly, but scaled to the casting cost.
It is now hosted by me, i like telling stories, but am probably not too fast in writing them.
[/list]
just like the original, this will be a co-op RTD, but nobody keeps you from killing/looting the others...
Ok, time to get some players, my first RTD, 5 should be enough, this works on a first come first serve base, as will the replacements/additional people.
This library is rather damp, there is mold on the walls, rotten bookcases lining the walls, most of it's contents scattered about. There doesn't seem to be a way leading outside... or a window for that reason. A constant stream of water is flowing over the north west wall, coming out of the ceiling and disappearing into some grates.
Skiz, the
ravenous rat was happy when he finally escaped through the stream running down to this chamber. So much food in here! It didn't know what a tome was, much less that it had a seal on it, and that tomes normally don't glow. Still that seal seemed so yummy, yet Skiz realized that something was wrong right after nibbling on that seal. Maybe it was the fact that the room was on fire ... or that 5 large shadows were standing in the middle of the room... no, it was certainly the fact that Skiz got blown into pieces by the sudden eruption of raw mana. Yep, that was it. Goodbye Skiz.
