This is awesome! Love reading it, put me on the waiting list please.

/////////////////

Name: Gerad
Gender: Male
Faction: Imperial Guard
Starting skills: Lasgun+bayonet, guard drills, all-round handy mechanically
Starting equipment: Lasgun+bayonet, standard guardsman kit (as possible, can provide details thanks to my Primer!), broken vox
Background:
Gerad has been with the Guard for some years, and he has always liked it. Everything better than the dirtball he was born on. Lately, he has been given a new troop (his previous one mostly died), and assigned vox duty. He learned that he hated Sarge, and wasn't too sad to see him eaten alive. Still, it left him without support - and with a lot of rubble on his head. Damn.

The waiting list is getting pretty long. Luke, maybe you should consider killing people when it's appropriate.

Or maybe he could run a second game simultaneously :D

Heh, I know how it can be.  If I didn't give all my characters success conditions, the ones who started the game would still be playing.

Turn 23: I Saw This Done In An Anime Once.

Note: this turn is completely rolled with Random.Org

Ungrateful humans. I give them a ride out of here, and they threaten me with bolt pistols. Try to disarm the commissar, then warp into the cockpit, blessing the poor design that has kept the cockpit and cargo bay separate. Oh, and knock the Techmarine over the head and take back the controls, if possible.

Also: Yay, update!

(6)  You ready yourself to knock the bolt pistol from the hands of the human, when the Valkyrie's inbuilt radio blared, distracting both of you. (3) There is a quiet awkward silence, and then you decide to just leave. (2+1) You attempt to land in the cockpit to retake control of the vehicles. However, the cockpit is no longer where you thought it was, and reappear in midair, hitting the pavement with a humorous THUD.

Keep shouting! Pew pew pew!

(1) You shout to the Valkyrie in order to grab it's attention, when you hear something behind you (4) You turn around to see a mass of withering flesh and and pus, crawling towards you, with the same kind of enthusiasm as a puppy. You fire your Suriken Pistol at the creature in your panic (6+1-1) hitting it in the...something, you can't really tell what's what. (1) But the attack does nothing, still charging at you full speed. (+1 markseldar)

Is there a radio or something? Talk to the other people in the ship and make a plan. Any plan. I'm quite willing to accept a plan made by a fellow marine. If I have an opportunity to fight something -including orks if it looks like the battle is in my favor- then I'll use the Voltron button to transform the Valkyrie into a giant walking robot (why else would the cockpit need to be separate?). Drink more, to improve my Beer Goggles to Lv.2. If not given any other task, devote all resources to building an awesome hat. It will be a hat of kings- no, gods! The god-king of hats, forged from the scraps of a fallen world into something mightier than has even been witnessed upon a man's head! Collect any potentially valid shinies.

(5) You easily find the radio to the cargo hold, turning it on so that you could talk to guardsman in the back. The is a bit of a pause, when the Commissar answer. He suggests that you return to the base, and while that seems a little boring to you, it's really the best idea at the moment. You take a swing of beer, and press the button clearly labeled "Voltron". That's right folks. I've gone insane. There is a whirl of gears and clanks as everything set into place, and the air ship turns to it's new form. Only one problem: Voltron is a multi-vehicle mecha. The Valkyire composes of only the chest piece, you will have to find the arm and legs. Fortunately the engines work in this form, so you can still fly. (4) There is a distinct lack of pieces of dead world, but you do find some loose metal lying around. They're particularly shiny. (+1 searcher)

Since I clearly don't want to get anything done, I'll hand the boyz some blueprints for the truk, then find something more interesting to do/kill.

(2) Hey, is that a rock? Such a glorious sight, a beauty to behold and blah blah blah you iz mukkin' around. (sorry, really sorry. maybe you'll get lucky next turn)

Gonna go find me a big hill. Find da biggest city in da region, and take me boyz 'dere iffn dey get dat truk built. Weez is gunna find sum more Orks!

(6) Cyrus Prime is a hive world based in the Cyrus system, of the Segmentum Ultima sector. Most of the planet is one big city, so half of your search is already finished. you round up your boyz and find yourself a nice big hill, and let out a Waaaaagh!  Soon, several Ork find you. In fact, a lot of Ork find you, some of quite big, even bigger than you. The biggest one is several heads taller than you, decorated with an impressive iron gob, boss pole, and power klaw. It only now dawns on you that your attempt to call for more boyz would attract rival warbosses. "Wat runty git iz dis?" the other warboss says, no doubt referring to you. (3) You are barely able to sqeak out your name, the rival warboss giving a small laugh. "Well, Tooftaka, wat do ya want?"

Track down the others.

(5) Despite what they might say about their skills, it's rather obvious which way the others had left. The deep groves left the by the loyalist's land raider went east, you see still hear the Valkyrie only a few buildings over, the warboss and his mob had gone north west, and the Ork mechanic is to your right looking at a rock. However, you have no idea where the Tau went, as if he had disappeared of the face of the earth. (+2 tracker)

Drive around aimlessly in search of something interesting.

(6) You drive around aimlessly, not really paying attention to where you're going. Had you been driving anything other than a land raider, you would had been wreaked by the countless obstacles you driven through. eventually, you begin hearing the sounds of battle, and you hand straight for it. It seems like there are Chaos attacking a Imperium base. (6) Fortunately, since you never bothered to repaint the land raider, the Chaos force believe that you are on your side. A near miss explosion also means that who ever is in the base also think you are part of Chaos.

Die spectacularly
(he was quitting, but his one last request was to, as noted, die spectacularly)

(1) The ruins of the tall above you, you wander around, lost in it's maze like alleys. It seems like there is now escape, the endless corridors leading to darkness and shadows. (1) Then, from under you, the floor trembles, and jump away and the ground underneath gives way, and great beast raises up. It's many arms scythe-like weapons, and many teeth gleam in the sun. You fire your rifle at the monster, the rounds pouncing of it's carapace. It stabs the claw into your torso, through the hole in the armor, and drags you into the ground, never to be seen again.

(6) The Bruzas stands up against the other Orks, despite being bigger than them. It seems like a brawl is about to insure, if the two warbosses don't keep their boyz in line.

Hang On!

(3) The guardsman are caught off guard by the sudden shift of the Valkyrie, but manage to hang onto their seats.

Quote from: Beast of Nurgle
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
(1) The beast of nurgle advances towards the eldar, excited to see someone else. however, it's twisted body was not made for stabilty and trips on a some rubble.

I tell the tank to purge the forces of chaos, then start shooting at them with the inferno gun.

"Hmmm, I need somewhere to store ingredients if only I had some sort of vehicle..."

Try to assemble a hybrid chaos/ork vehicle with the mekboy's assistance...

Shake my fist violently at the disappearing Valkyrie, and then find someting interesting to do. Like fortify a nearby house, or block of tower or something, for a siege. Pick out a real nice defensible one, and gather supplies.
