Is Linda ever going to get Markscat training?

Actually, I think right about now is the first time, ever, where she hasn't either been wounded or incredibly busy in the kitchen. Right now, nobody's hunting (since every hunter has either died or become an elite markscat), so there's not a large food influx. We are starting to get some muskox butchering done, but Overcat can handle that well enough.

Am I dead, or just dead boring?

Just wondering, on account of never once being mentioned. Have I gotten... anything interesting happening at all?

Heh. Natalie now is death to gobbo's from above! Hey, since we killed the dwarves, does that mean we have steel to melt down?

Overlord, you're Overcat, right?
You were a squad leader for a while, but lost a lung sparring. I then shifted you to cooking duties for a while. However, now that you have one point in Toughness, and thus no longer faint at random intervals, I'm going to be putting you back on military duty. Also, it helps that the main food income at this point is fish, so cooking is needed less often.

I have one lung? SWEEEEEEET!

This town is my new friend...

I'm begging you: give me dangerous solo assignments. Overcat: the one-lunged commando. Kinda has a nice ring to it.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. In fact, another warrior similarly has only one lung. Actually, all but two of the military (other than the markscats) have some injury; you two have lung injuries, and everyone else has a nervous injury except Amalgam and two wrestlers, one of whom has been resting a leg injury since, oh, a long time ago. I think the dwarf siege, actually. Almost two years, then.

Cats tend to not last long on the training grounds... ;D Although OddProphet reached Elite before getting a spine injury. Lucky guy.

I still want markscat training on Linda. And a 2x1 weapons stockpile near the kitchen containing a blowgun and a stack of darts. And a plasma sword.

How long did 100killer9 last on the sparring grounds? Granted, his injury wasn't from sparring, but...

Linda's a Markscat now, so, yey.
100killer9 lasted a very long time, in fact, she got to Champion around the same time as Amalgam. Both of them are legendary wrestler/armor user. Kinda badass.

So yeah, why no like copper blowdarts? or can you only use bone or wood? Or is that the only kind you can do the infinite ammo junk with?

On the one hand, yes, the infinite ammo trick can only be done with bone/wood darts. Ont he other hand, we also do not have even a Novice weaponsmith, and may never ever have that unless we get an immigrant - and we have a legendary bonecarver. So copper darts, and even bronze, will jsut not be as good.

Also, to whoever asked: Yes, there is steel, and yes, I may melt it down when we have a better armorsmith. With Bengali dead, the best we have right now is Novice. (The married immigrant who has Bengali's stolen pages, incidentally.)

Wasn't Ironfang going to work on weaponsmithing as well?

If there was any weaponsmithing to do, yes. So far, all I've done as far as weaponsmithing goes is One (1) copper hatchet (that Bengali made) and one (1) silver club for Crow to pimp-stick with.
Ironfang has, however, made heck of chains.
