So, fixed it. had to change start biome from ANY_RIVER to ANY_GRASSLAND.

now...i have an issue I didn't have in adventure mode...

Haha, I saved the file right before it burned this little human kid.

Changed body temp to normal because they wont do anything because their too injured...
Which is strange. anyway ima retry now.

Also my people are H's.  I edited what they were trying to fix the [TILE error, but it didn't work so i set it back to 'H', how do I change it to the hippos?

Still too injured.. How should I fix it?

You need to spend a bunch of time at the DF wiki reading up on what some of these tags do. All this information is carefully available there--search for "creature tokens", that's a great jumping off point.

Your [TILE error means that somewhere in your raws, you have a line which reads [TILE in a place that the code is expecting a new creature entry. The most likely cause of this is that you're missing a left square bracket in front of the name of one of the creature entries, which would cause that line to be ignored, making the next line ( [TILE:whatever:whatever]) get treated as the creature entry, leading to a HUGE choke in the data as I believe this will screw everything all the way down.

Attention to detail is the #1 important thing when editing documents like these, you can't have any typos at all. I recommend you start from fresh raws and a fresh install of DF and re-apply all your changes to the fresh raws now that you have some idea what you're doing. Read the wiki! It's worth it, many of the tags conflict and gameplay or world gen problems when used with each other and this isn't obvious unless you learn which from the experience of others.

nah, like I said I make their body temp 10067 now.
Atleast I think I did.

anyway I gotta figure out why it keeps saying cannot complete such and such task, dangerous terrain... maybe because im in a haunted place?

"Dangerous terrain" has to do with the actual terrain; e.g. "it's full of water". Having haunted surroundings has nothing to do with pathfinding.


Are they trying to path through water?
