This is fairly off-topic,  but might I ask why the security guards were given magnums as opposed to the .22s they used to use? I've always kind of wondered why that was changed.

Well, it's gun control dependent. But now that you mention it, that does seem pretty silly. I'll keep it to SMG at C+, .38 revolver at C/m/L, and nightstick at L+.

It would be interesting if Corperations took more of an active role in LCS but I wonder if that would change the nature of the game.

Do you mean along the lines of having several different corporations in the game as opposed to the single faceless company in the game now?

Because I could almost picture (depending on corporate laws) rival corporations supplying the LCS with maps of their competition's HQ and paying the LCS to disrupt their business.

Would the LCS sell itself out like that, though?

Well, I don't exactly mean in the sense of turning the LCS into some sort of Shadowrunners.

I mean in the sense that you have obscenely rich people whos goal is to remain obscenely rich (or be even more so) who's dirrect opposition is the LCS.

Wow, I am starting to sound biased against the rich :P which isn't my intent.

Nah, that's entirely in the spirit of the game. You already implicitly have a couple people like that; the corporations, the CEO in the house. They're just currently abstracted, instead of actual characters.

Such as for example: Why the CCS never has problems with money or equipment and why they have access to the private club?

Yes. Also and more directly, why you get raided by corporate mercenaries.

I REALLY got to start playing the newer versions...

Though I have a strong aversion to losing.

I'm pretty sure you can get raided by the corporations in 3.09.

Ohh I am further behind that you may think.

Lets just say, I started playing RIGHT when Interrogation was added, and havn't played an updated version since.

Maybe I'm underestimating how far back you are, but 3.09 is the last release by Tarn. Interrogations and corporate mercenaries date back to before I started playing five years ago, when there were like 50 people on these forums and DF wasn't released. You may have just not incurred the wrath of the corporations; they get mad if you publish their documents, which requires a printing press and either cracking the corporate HQ safe or hackers intercepting documents.

That certainlty explains a bit.

I remember the Wiki back then actually kept secrets secret. Which actually was quite annoying in some respects.
