If we're looking at the spinal cord, then that's pretty reasonable (and that you could get it out in butchering).

Yeah, in the body detail plan for vertebrate tissue layers, the spine is the only place where nervous tissue is used.

I haven't read through that.  But that makes sense.

Wow. Modding is going to get a lot more complicated or we're going to have a lot of one-gender hairless creatures around.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

One gender and hairless, that's it?

I suspect people will forget to put the arms on both sides of the body, forget to connect certain things entirely, not put the [LUNG] attribute on the lungs part, forget the eyebrows and facial hair, put "black" for their only skin color, forget hair and eye color completely, and put in too many teeth.

That sounds like inbreeding gone horribly, horribly wrong.

Does anyone know what can be made with nerve tissue?  Can one eat it?  Create a craft with it?

I doubt you can do anything with it since its fragile, but since the brain is also made of nervous tissue and you can eat it, soo....

Might not be a good idea since there are prion diseases and other stuff.

I want to see guts as a requirement for guitars!  Can somebody make a legendary artifact lion gut guitar for me with walrus tusk frets?

There's something you'd consider to be "inbreeding gone right"?

That would be as deadly to the wielder as to anyone else!  You'd sever your own arm at the first swing!  It's perfect!

Looking at the pic in the op, with all the multiple units of butchered pieces, the single unit of skin (good for ultimately making a single leather item) off the elephant seems out of place.

I am not sure if Rainseeker is being somewhat sarcastic... or if the pools of blood around that dog have any sort of meaning
