Ignoring the common food poisoning causes.

Some Organs also need to be treated in certain ways or else it could poison the lot.

With us getting TONS and TONS of meat, we may be getting close to the time when food will rot as a whole instead of just above ground.

I think you're looking at them, lol.

Also, animal bladders (cleaned and turned inside out I'm sure) have been used as waterskins since prehistory. I'll um, leave your imaginations to fill in the image, lol.

Edit: I checked those spoilered raws and the bladder doesn't seem to exist. Won't stop anybody from modding it in though.

Actually, they might be considered meat now and be left on the nest page with the rest of them.

I want to butcher lions, salt the hell out of the organs, and place them all over the battle-ready entrance to my fort now, actually.

Psychological warfare.  Can't argue with the awesomeness of that.

Does this enter into dwarves' likes/dislikes now? Could I have a Hammerer who enjoys, nay, MUST HAVE, chilled monkey brains, lest "reprimands" be administered?

Add a reaction to turn them into a type of stone, and makea stockpile of them near your catapults.

I fail to see the practical use of a salty granite stone in the shape of an Aorta being flung at enemies.

Meh.  Not good enough.  We need real support for body parts as catapult ammo.
I think that's either been suggested or is on the dev notes already, though.

Oddly for some reason that makes me think of designed Catapult boulders. With carved out faces, spikes, and dangling bodyparts and all that.

I can imagine an enraged butcher and chef right now.

Urist, Butcher has lost his mind
Minkot, Baron has been accosted by Urist
Minkot, Baron has been strangled by Urist with his own intestines
Minkot, Baron has been struck down
Urist, Butcher finishes task: produce meat
Fikod, Chef claims new meat
Fikod, Chef cooks new meat

Fikod, Chef has produced +Dwarven Sausage+ (36)

Team effort to hide evidence of Minkot the Baron: Success

I think a much funkier method would be wrapping fresh organs of invaders in tanned hides of them. Think of a giant leather baseball launched from a catapult. Upon contact with the ground near the enemies, the flesh of their comrades explodes in gore all over them.

Sorry for the double-post.
