Mermaids have spawned in a pool.

That's strange as they have an ANY_OCEAN biome.

I'm embarked on 3*3 area, ocean tiles are only two the upper left and upper center.

And this pool is right on the land tile - that why its strange to find mermaids in a pool.


I think i'll pour magma on them, i have some on the map. ;-)

But if you capture them you can breed them, and butcher their babies. You'll get a lot more dwarfbucks that way.

For a one time profit I suppose, but if you use the breeding method you'll have a renewable supply of cash.

You dont need to catch a merman to impregnate them thanks to sporereproduction.

1. Catch mermaids
2. wait till they get pregnant by magically sensing a merman swimming past youre fortress
3. keep the first male offspring
4. mermaidincest
5. build a mermaid-kz
6. PROFIT!!! (and a place in hell for you)
