Either post it at the DF File Depot or you can e-mail me (deinol at gmail) and I'll host it.

After many years in exile for my crimes I have finally found a fortress that hasn't heard of me, this is great I can finally get back on my feet.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It sure is a well defended fortress, very orderly, I'm not sure I like that.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It also seems to have the nasty habit of attracting elves, I am not sure I like that, I order the dwarves not to trade with dem pointy eared freaks and decide to worry about more pressing issues, the last ruler said something about adding another tower. I am not sure security is a real issue here but I won't let the death of another fortress be on head so I make plans to build it into the rocks along the north of the fort  when....
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

What?!?!?
What kinnda dwarf makes a barrel out of copper, its darn wasteful and doesn't taste nearly as good.
I order the barrel maker to makes some barrels to fill with a brimful of love.
Unfortunately we are low on wood.
As I scour the grounds I notice we are on mostly rocky grounds and we may need to trade if we wish to survive.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Things look pretty grim, we have less ale then heads in our fortress. I know if we reach zero all hope will be lost and the fortress will turn as loony as a bunch of elves, no not again, never again.

Fortunately like a miracle we where able to redirect out worry into producing crafts of the stone variety, and peddled them yo some humans for enough lumber to fill the great hall.

This and the news that the construction of the north tower was going well provided the morral we needed to survive.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

With so much going on above ground I was flabber-gasted to hear the fortress now has a new artifact to call her own

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ain't it wonderful

Awesome, we have a legendary weaponsmith now.  Don't suppose if anyone knows of some HFS on this map somewhere?  We could tap the upper levels for some high quality hammers and axes.

Early into summer the stockpile of blocks becomes a problem, I order that the entire mason industry should be retooled
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
...But mostly I should "Make more block" at the top of my lungs

I'm not even sure why I am putting so much effort into this tower, I don't even think our marks dwarves are all that bright
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Unless blocking the target with your body is marksdwarf skill

By about mid summer our supply of ale was sky rocketing and the tower became finnished to the point where it macthed the height of the southern one and the year became uneventful, I added some more store space and created an industry tin producing different colored blocks

The excavation spot of these blocks gave me a chance to make a room
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
As the year closed and goblin Christmas came things around the fortress became peaceful, our supply of ale has topped 700 and the north tower is built, but It could be built higher

What I recommend the net ruler do is  find weapons grade metal, make cash product to trade with humans for wood and expand the protection of the fortress, the sieges kept entering from the far side of the maps and taking out undefended fishers.

I now take my leave as a humble carpenter and will try to remain withing the fort as much as I can so none of the traders will recognize me

I don't know anything about rumors, but I'll ping Apeiron12 to make sure they know whose turn it is.

wait what?

Edit looked through the thread, i only find that i had a trap named after me. i see no place that it was mentioned that i had a year. it would also be a phenominally BAD idea to let me have a year.

i once lost a 20 dwarf fort to a PARTY OF KOBOLDS. on a related note, if you have to put the world ending lever outside because of a lack of space, put it inside VERY soon..
