Clearly you angered the gods!

Good one, butt-head XD

Now listen, just because I tore apart a temple for materials for a failed magma death machine is no reason for a god to damn me.  I mean look, the magma is causing death, just not the intended targets.  It works I tell you!

28th Limestone:
Burying the dead is taking longer than I had hoped. Many of us seem close to snapping from the loss. We will also have to do something about that back door, we can't have that happen again with the queen on her way.
Regardless, I'm just glad deinol isn't among the living, too many of his engravings have been lost on the lowest floor from the magma.

15th Sandstone:
Some of the miners suggested we "honor" our former count with a monument of sorts. Probably a good idea seeing as how it makes us look bad having him and his whole family die.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

9th Timber:
The queen shall deep us worthy after the goods we offered. We still haven't fixed the holes in our defense, but we are attempting to tap into our magma reservoir once again. Constructions are almost complete.

22nd Timber:
Today we have completed the pump tower once again. Hopefully after all the modifications and failures we can finally use this magma for.....something.

3rd Moonstone:
A minor set back, Problems with lowest level again, will have to isolate stairways from magma flow.

12th Moonstone:
Bah!! Another siege. We won't be caught off guard this time.

15th Moonstone:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Need to fix that backdoor, seems they completely ignore the other entrance. A moderately heavy loss of about 10, both civies and military.

Also, looks like a weaver has gone fey and claimed a clothier's shop.

22nd Moonstone:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Might use this to please future nobles.

22nd Opal:
Repairs to magma pumps are finished, will begin testing shortly.

21st Obsidian:
Magma Pumps fully operational. Currently expanding cistern via channeling. I recently lost my recent election. It was probably all those deaths during my rule that caused it, no matter. I have succeeded where 2 others have failed, that is enough for me.

1st Granite:
And now it is time for another to direct this fortress, I wish the next ruler luck.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Some quick notes for next in line
On level 138 the magma pumps are having problems and it is holding the whole thing back.
The queen should be coming this spring
All farms are off, Have them set to hunting instead
The backdoor is still a problem

Oh man, that backdoor. I had that locked like 24/7. Who unlocked it? Mystery.

But seriously. Someone needs to do something about that stupid, nonsensical backdoor there.

considering both you and xieg were trying to wrestle them, it's safe to say that neither of took anything down. Only the miner dwarfs were able to hold their own whereas the others were just trying to keep the goblins busy until the real dwarfs made it.

By Edim's command I am once again given an ethereal form.

His eyes gazed down on Boltsnarrow, a fortress He loves and cherishes, a fortress home to His temple. What He saw was not pleasing to His eyes. His temple was in ruins, the copper from His moon sigil torn away, His temple flooded with the mountain's blood. This infuriated the charitable god of the moon. So, by Edim's charity I am once again sent down to rule over all of Boltsnarrow.

My name is Doom Flarefortress, and that is what I shall become. I shall be the doom of this now forsaken place, and watch it burn like a flare! I have many things to consider, but most of them can wait. My first agenda is the rebuilding of Edim's temple in a grander and more amazing form...

(( ;O; Xieg you wanker! I thought you just flooded ONE ROOM! The whole place is under 4/7 to 5/7 lava!))

Oi!  I did flood one room!  I have no idea how noobsauce managed to flood the entire lower level of the fortress.  I even walled doors so no one would try to eat at the tables in there.
