THE HORROR
http://www.fanfiction.net/forums/game/Warhammer/
http://www.fanfiction.net/book/Harry_Potter/

*Shudder*
In the intrests of science, I have decided to read through a fan fiction story of a certain popular series of novels, Harry Potter. (You may have possibly heard of it.) I will be narrating for you as we take this descent into madness and hilarity desciphering the words written by a 12 year old who just had just prior to writing this wonderful story had smoked a bag of peyote and drank a case of Jack Daniel's mixed with novacaine. [citation needed]

Q. Why am I doing this?

A. Because I said so, and that's that.

INTRODUCTION:
it's 7th year and hermione and draco have been made head girl and boy.will love blossom over the many snowball fights held or will hate continue to freeze their hearts?i suck at summaries

ANALYSIS:
We can see here the effects of the novacaine starting to work on the poor kid's motor skills, slowly deteriorating his or her grammar and punctuation.

hermione granger leaned back in her armchair and stretched,as she stretched she looked at her watch and was 1:00 in the morning and she had O.W.L.S tomorrow, well jumped up from her seat and grabbed her books into a messy had to go to . "i cant believe its 1 in the morning!how could i have stayed up so late!" hermione chastized herself like that the whole way back to gryfindor she was about halfway to the tower however she ran into something,or someone.

'Something or someone'? How interesting! I can hardly contain my anticipation!

hermione realized she'd been about to fall backwards just as strong arms wrapped around her waist and arm to steady looked up to see who had helped her and first thing she recognized was the startling clear blueish-gray ,as she took a step back, she realized that her savior was none-other then draco snatched away from him and sneered at him,"watch it,ferret!" she then took her wand and then sent her books back to the head common room ahead of she was gonna stop by there to drop them off on her way to see harry and ron.

Run on sentences seem to be a signature of this artist's genius.
...
Wait, 'Clear bluish gray'? Since when did Draco have cataracts?
DUN DUN DUN.....

IS DRACO A 60 YEAR OLD BIZARRE FERRET MAN HYBRID? WILL HERMIONE MAKE IT TO THE HEAD COMMON ROOM BEFORE ANY OTHER CONVENIENT PLOT DEVICES INTERRUPT HER? TUNE IN NEXT TIME FOR A NOT REALLY EXCITING EPISODE OF THE DEEPEST BOWELS OF INTERNET HELL, FANFICTION.NET!

(I'll be doing a small series of these, what do you think? Should this thread stay here or go to Creative Projects?)

I think you should dis-continue this, honestly. It can only lead to bad places.

I believe this should be dumped in acid and fed to the demons of the 9th level of hell and never be spoken of again.

Pretty negative feedback, are you sure? I thought it'd be pretty funny. Unless I'm missing the point of your sarcasm, I guess I can discontinue it, but it feels like cheating.

OH WAIT, are you guys worried about teh pr0nz? Don't worry, this story is PG13, I made sure of it.

Heck, you could do adult fiction tastefully edited and summarized. Or just record your reaction to such scenes.

And could you take requests for fanfiction form specific genres? I see this going places.

Theirs 2 things i don't laugh at, and that's bad stories, and well small children being ripped apart...
(i only can chuckle at the second)

point being there are some terrible Fan fictions out there, some worse than this but it's best these never see the light of day

I'm having flashbacks to 2girls1cup.

Of course! This story isn't very long and I was looking to do more with Fanfiction.net, but remember I'm still planning to do narrating on the real pits of internet culture. (4chan, youtube comments, etc.)
What did you have in mind?

I'll reveal it later, although I've already advertised The Price of Sexy Love much too many times for my own good.

I've been considering writing up a parody of an Aeris Resurrection fic for a while. It'd involve my own Strife (with repeated affirmations that he there is no connection between the names), Cloud getting smacked for being angsty (don't get me wrong, I love you Cloud, but QUIT BEING AN EMO WHIMP!), and . . . something else.

It's on hold, mostly becuase I've been working on getting together a few new stories about Strife that are actually, you know, publishable.

EDIT: The poor spelling was not social commentary, by the way. Just forgot spell check.

Prince of Sexy Love? Oh god, I can't even to begin to imagine. XD

Right then, should I continue this or not? If people are sincerely bothered by it, I'll stop. I definitely don't want to look like some sort of obnoxious cheese on a stick.

I never have the actual courage to go onto those websites when anybody else is nearby, so you are providing an insight into what is there. Question: Is it ALL like that, and is there much of it? I was under the impression there was a community of about 50 constantly publishing fan fiction about their chosen book, but it may be worse.
