As Tylui's voyage coordinator, I think it wouldn't be too much trouble to slip Kash's goods onto the extra wagon so long as someone were to slip 10 coppers my way to cover the hassle and make sure that Tylui isn't inconvenienced at all.

Well, either he'll slip me the cash later or a few of his supplies will mysteriosly vanish.  Let's get a move on.

My thoughts exactly. I'm going to be horrifically busy for the next few hours. But I will get the first turn up today.

I think this works.

Inventory:
5 Asses      ☼20  x4    ☼80
2 Clothes    ☼10  x2    ☼20
1 Crossbow   ☼35  x1    ☼35
100 Quarrels ☼0.1 x100  ☼10
100 Food     ☼0.2 x20   ☼20
50 Booze     ☼0.2 x10   ☼10

Total Space: 500
Free Space: 127
db's left: ☼40

Now I may be just a simple country chicken lawyer, but I count ☼175 in costs and 253 weight. That leaves you ☼225 and 247 weight remaining. So the above does work, but you may want to buy a couple more asses so you can shift goods around if they get exhausted. As it stands you have 2 spare asses out of 5, so it's not like it's a big deal.

Anyway, EMBARKATION in the next post. I need to roll up some rolls.

You set off from Independence Rock on September 1, a tear in the eye of the shopkeeper who made so much money from you in your short stay.

The trail is really just a series of campsites and good places to cross streams. The recent rainfall has caused a lot of problems with the trail, such as it is, and your progress was delayed significantly. Over the six days of travel you lost about two days.

On day three a cougar jumped Grimpull. The cougar, as surprised and disgusted as the dwarf was, lashed out at him and fled. Grimpull shot at it and missed. He limped back to camp injured, telling wild tales about the twenty-foot mountains lions they have around here.

The next day Ukat found 11 meals worth of wild fruit. Lucky him!

Day 6 saw your caravan trundling down out of the hills and into the plains below. Across, in the distance, you see a snow-capped mountain range. Grimpull falls on a twig and breaks his arm.

Some of you had asses get exhausted, and changed them out for fresh ones. But unless you take a break for a day or move at Steady they won't recover back to full strength. Using a tired ass might kill it. That's one issue. Urist McSurgeon has already saved your collective bacon on this one a bunch of times.

Another issue is Grimpull, who could use the same treatment to heal up. Because he's eating Filling rations he got chances to heal from his cougar wound, and did so, but the broken arm happened right at the end and so has not had a chance to heal. It probably will soon.

Finally despite finding wild fruit, Ukat is going to run out of food midway through Turn 4. Do you guys want to stop and hunt for a couple days? Remember, each turn is 6 days long so if you spend 2 days hunting you get 4 days of travel after that.

Dwarf                 Health  Food     Booze      Special
Tylui Mingusgasol     Good    882 (3)  894 (1)    2 Asses exhausted, changed out for fresh
Grimpull Bloodybeard  Fair    182 (3)  94 (1)
Urist McSurgeon       Good    794 (1)  494 (1)    1 Ass exhausted, changed out for fresh
Ukat Luslemidek       Good    15 (1)   0 (0)
Rooster               Good    744 (1)  194 (1)
Cerol Greedyfingers   Good    994 (1)  500 (0)
Urist McCheapass      Good    994 (1)  494 (1)    1 Ass exhausted, changed out for fresh
Kash McCogshyyk       Good    94 (1)   50 (0)

(Updating map in a second)
EDIT: Fixed Tylui's food, my mistake

EDIT2:

So now, I need you all to speak up and say what changes you want to make: ration, booze, speed vote, and whether you want to stop and hunt or something.

oof, I really took a beating that turn. Obviously I'm all for sticking around a couple days, and doing some hunting/resting. My vote is 3 hunting/fishing/gathering then 3 more on grueling travel to make up for lost time. Other than my injuries we managed to come out of this first turn rather well.

Oh. Changes for next turn are due in 48 hours. If you guys get them all in before, I might update earlier! If you don't, you stick with your default choices / votes.

EDIT: If you guys are cool about it I would be able to do daily turns during the weekday. Depends on how on the ball you are with your posts.

My vote is definitely towards hunting.  Y'gotta eat.  Haika's plan doesn't seem all that crazy so long as we alternate between days of easy hunting and days of grueling travelling.  But I'm upping the rations from bare bones to meager for the harder pace.

Ukat's plan for hunting is to hunt until she hits 50 food, then stop shooting.  After that, she'll hang around to scavenge any food that the other's leave behind due to weight.  In particular, she will encourage the nob to shoot everything in sight.  What's a vacation without laying waste to all the wildlife, sir?

Hrrm. That plan does sound fine, but we want to make sure not to get stuck in any passes during the winter. The quicker the better.
