Help with finding out the title of a book

I read the synopsis on wikipedia a while ago, but I cannot recall the title. I do think it was a trilogy. Basically, it was about how, after the USSR falls, a soviet base is discovered underneath the antarctic (or was it the artic?), which has some monster loose in it.

No, I dont think that was the one (the description I read was more scifish, and they were only three books), but thanks anyway. IŽll check the link to see if I spot it.

"Who Goes There" and it has nothing to do with Russians.
