The internets does not care about things like H&H or a single TF2 server. Go invade Facepunch.
The feeling is mutual between us and the internet as well.

And there are already too many people on Facepunch who think we are all idiots for supporting Toady for coding in extended dwarf descriptions.

Idiom. You are an idiot. We don't do stupid shit like that.

I got up from my nap just to tell you this. I hope you're fucking happy. I'm going back to sleep now.

Gee thanks. I put in a "if you/we wanted to" in the front of the stupid for no reason you know.

And that is why Bay12 will never impact the internets beyond a few scattered "Let's Play" threads. I'd say "That's for the better" or something, but honestly, I wouldn't mind if the internets was more like this place.

Duuuuke/Sofiaaaa, I thiiiink Idiom was sorta just positing, rather than actually proposing or encouraging... I'm afraid you miiight be being a little harsh. But then I'm the guy who thinks that even mentioning this is being harsh towards the two of you, sooo I may have a warped viewpoint.

Too bad it's basically impossible to make the internet like Bay12, because all the assholes really wouldn't like it.

And us invading the rest of the internet would almost certainly result in an immediate backlash of people who want it to stay the way it is. You can't turn a lion into a kitten, no matter how much catnip you have.

Query: Whut?
If that's a jab at my timidity I daresay that it is a far more fearsome thing than electric shocks that made me this way.

being a little harsh.
Eh, I'm practically never here anyway. Honestly I wouldn't even care much if they did that all the time. I'm not an essential B12-er or anything. I just come here because people are actually sane.

But yea, if we wanted to have an impact on the internets we should do something [big, stupid, and dramatic]. Wee I'm an idiot.

Exactly. You'd have to act like the retarded lions and invade Facepunch or SA or start forcing a dorf Meme on 4Chan to have any effect at all.

Oh, I get what you're saying. If we wanted to become more well known, we'd need to act like pricks, ergo we don't need to be more well known.

If the intent was merely a suggestion then I apologize for any hostilities that may have seemed over-the-top. However, I still dislike the idea. We will make our own community if we like the thing. There is no need to run in there and spout memes. Said memes will be wasted and we will seem like exactly what some people think of us. Toady crazies.

And then the whole thing is moot, because now you are one of the assholes and exactly like anywhere else. You're no longer leaving anything original, your just another pack of ravenous lions from a tribe fighting against the endless other tribes.

I could make a name for myself right now by grabbing a gun, stepping outside, and firing away at everyone who comes by. There is a difference between being famous and infamous.
Being known for being a horrible person is much worse than fading into nothingness.

The subject of this thread I thought was "how well-known are we" and "how are we known" not "how well do they think of us". The point is valid unless we're talking about positive impact, which is impossible.

Oh God. If we started doing /i/nvasions, /b/ would end up finding this place. That's not an idea that sane people will let happen to this forum. The last thing this place needs is the legion of immature teenagers to descend on it.

There's already basically a dorf meme and ongoing associated DF jokes on /tg/ and /v/, why would you want anymore memes? -.-
