Hmmm... no one mentioned the machall comics. Registered here because of the comics, in order to understand the jokes. Now I'm something of a non-player that attempts to get back into the game, but haven't been able to. The new version should fix that though.

And yeah, if it wasn't for the forums, I'd probably never have problems writing research papers.

This is about the only game forum i regulary visit. I enjoy the witty banter that goes on here.

My views of people on the Bay12 forums? They've never really heard of us. I try to get friends to play the game, they say they have but never visit these 'ere forums.

But that isn't such a bad thing is it? I like the forums as they are. A bunch of smart people talking smartly to otters...

Well, I read about DF in some magazine somewhere or another (I'd rather not share the full story), and needed a cheap game to play. I didn't get it at first (why does my main room keep collapsing?!? Back in the olden times), but eventually fell in love with it.

We're a good forum, everywhere else I've looked at is either a ghost town or a horrible load of crap.

If this place went under, or got corrupted, i'd be very sad.

I wish Toadyone would instate some more admins, so he neednt worry about the forums, Trusted people of course.

Like me.

If we ever need more admins then we already will have gone under. Toady trusts us to behave and more admins would mean he lost that trust.

Nilocy is right though, everywhere else is dead or full of asshats.

Its a decent forum, don't have a lot of pure idiocy floating about.  And people talk smart, AKA don't use net speak so much, that is a big plus.

Mostly unknown where I've hanged.

However, Sofia, the extra mod or two could help stamp down on the one-or-two Asses that slip through the net.

Like when bots advertise their crap, or that guy, Moin, an admin inserted quickly could have fixed that. (Though it would have ruined the Hilarity)

Yes but as a community we can handle that kind of stuff. We often manage to turn it into if not something constructive then at least amusing.

Anyhow we do have Kurtulmak!

All hail Kurtulmak!

Well, there is that little button, down to the right, y'know right there... called "Report to moderator".

And yeah, sending in more admins is like sending more police to a riot. Its already gone to shit and won't be the same afterwards.

I'd make a terrible mod, I'd be too afraid to moderate anything and do nothing except flaunt my authoritai.
