Ideal Leader Build
« on: December 02, 2009, 05:39:50 am »

Given the set of base stats increased by the questions that you are presented at the beginning, which questions will lead to the 'best' statistics when one reaches 1000 juice? By best, I mean each stat relatively high. I've done some experimentation with this, but the information on the wiki regarding the stat gains from the questions or the base stats is not accurate, as the resulting build did not match the predicted outcome.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have to suggest picking the D option (surviving alone) for your last choice. If memory serves, it gives you +1 to all attributes. Aside from that exception, every option gives you an equal amount of attributes and skills -- it's just which attributes and skills you want for your founder. Concentrating your attributes in a strength will give you bonus points in that strength as you juice up, while depriving an attribute during character creation will stunt that attribute as you juice up.

Try to arrange your build so that each stat is as close to 10 as possible without going over. 10 is what you need to max out that attribute at 20. 11 or more will let you train associated skills faster and max out the attribute sooner, but it won't raise the cap above 20, so the difference between 10 and 11 isn't as important as the difference between 9 and 10. I believe you'll only potentially exceed 10 on heart, and only on some of the D and E heavy builds, but I can't be certain off hand. In particular, it's possible that the +1 to each attribute from picking D on the last choice might push an intelligence or agility heavy build over the top.

Like I've said, I've been experimenting with it a bit, and aiming to get as close to ten as possible is exactly what I shot for when I started attempting to figure it out. The main problem is that I'm not quite sure what the base stats are, or what the different options provide. May just need to download the source code again.

Also, it's possible to push Charisma to 21. When you reach age 45 or something, it doesn't check if your charisma is 20 before adding to it.

8 HRT, 3 INT, 1 WIS, 4 CHA, 4 STR, 5 AGI, 6 HTH (Base Stats)

9 HRT, 4 INT, 1 WIS, 5 CHA, 5 STR, 6 AGI, 7 HTH (+1 from Last D Option)

E +2CHA
~9 HRT, 4 INT, 1 WIS, 7 CHA, 5 STR, 6 AGI, 7 HTH
A +AGI
~9 HRT, 4 INT, 1 WIS, 7 CHA, 5 STR, 7 AGI, 7 HTH
A +AGI
~9 HRT, 4 INT, 1 WIS, 7 CHA, 5 STR, 8 AGI, 7 HTH
A (Stealth)
B +2CHA
~9 HRT, 4 INT, 1 WIS, 9 CHA, 5 STR, 8 AGI, 7 HTH
E (Teach)
A +INT
~9 HRT, 5 INT, 1 WIS, 9 CHA, 5 STR, 8 AGI, 7 HTH
E +INT
~9 HRT, 6 INT, 1 WIS, 9 CHA, 5 STR, 8 AGI, 7 HTH
B
D +1INT, +1AGI, +2HTH
~9 HRT, 7 INT, 1 WIS, 9 CHA, 5 STR, 9 AGI, 9 HTH

This is what I personally would use...  Optimally Averaged...  In my opinion anyways.

Also, check the LCS wiki for answers to the questions.

Edit: optimal stat (Yes, I still search the sub-forum for this particular post...)

If that's up to date, that looks like a pretty good candidate for an optimal build for high overall endgame stats.

Am I the only who's founder doesn't make it to the end game, and thus can only appreciate this from a purely theoretical standpoint?  ;D

Mine tends to end up in jail and come back a decade later with a boatload of money and no following to speak of.

Mine invariably end up supermen terminators that are perfectly capable of assassinating someone in the middle of a building, and escaping without a single encounter.

My leader works like that too, at least until the game crashes, which it what usually seems to happen to me.
I think it's the game's way of telling me Washington was so scared by my shananigans that they nuked the city I was in, thus preventing my Liberal philosphy from spreading.

I've had my leader go to trial for something like 400 murders, three counts of treason, uncountable counts of vandalism, arson, theft, assault, and so on, and had the Judge, Jury, and Prosecution crying for Freedom by the end.

This happened like five times to the same leader.

Yeah. Get law skill high enough, and there's probably nothing you can't get away with.

Depends on what you are looking for.  Charisma makes it a hell of a lot easier to recruit people, especially early on.... and the later on hard to recruit people like Agents.

Int helps a lot on useful Int based skills like First Aid and Computers... but 7 Int, if I remember right is more then enough to get you where you need.
