I tried flooding a pit with water.

Tentacle clowns mostly just drowned.
Frog clowns killed me.
Spirits of FUN boiled off the water.

Thus, flooding the clown room only is useful for tentacles. What about flooding it with magma? Would that kill froggies?

IIRC they're all [FIREIMMUNE].

Pay closer attention - I know exactly what "microcline" is, but am unfamiliar with this thing people call "microline".
Sure is smug in here.
Anyway, Magma works on the Frog and tentacle clowns.
As for the !!!clowns!!! You're just going to have to get stabby.

But what if they like brimstone?

That's a good way to deal with prisoners of war (and nobles). Send them into a pit of endless pain and suffering.
What's that Baron Bembul? You want an item in your room? Sure, I'll take care of that right away. In the meantime, why not pull this nice, pretty lever?

But what if they like brimstone?
Then maybe then dump themselves in, which is extra dwarfy!

That wouldn't work. Satan would send them back. Carved into their living bodies would be a note:
"These nobles are annoying as hell! I don't have any of the materials they need to keep them happy, and the thrice legendary hammerman you sent down keeps striking my demons down. You have them.
                                                                 - Satan"

Yikes, the Orcs have a nasty language.  Traditional foreplay would be right out for them; how would they ever "say my name" for one another?  No wonder Ocrs are always so bloodthirsty and violent, they're getting sub-par action.

What about magma followed by water?  Can the !!Clowns!! survive carbonite freezing?

Nothing survives carboniting, but I don't think you CAN carbonite !!clowns!!. They'll evaporate the water before it gets near the magma.

Christ, are you dwarves or are you elves? If you think Hell has too many demons, then you kill them till the population reaches an acceptable number.

IIRC they're all [FIREIMMUNE].

I seem to recall that FIREIMMUNE only makes things non-flammable and doesn't actually make them immune to heat damage - I've run several HFS tests in the past where I ended up with tentacle demon bones in one of the magma pools (and a Deceased tentacle demon in the Units list, though it wasn't flashing red and yellow), suggesting that they tried swimming through the magma and got toasted.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Fire immune and magma immune are different things. Search 'magma' and 'dragon' and you should find some threads on dragons taking a swim in magma pipes and dying.

Nothing survives carboniting, but I don't think you CAN carbonite !!clowns!!. They'll evaporate the water before it gets near the magma.

But you could still get a chamber all around them.  If you then do a controlled collapse of the chamber it'd kill the !!clown!!.  Same reason you can't send dwarves down magma pipes in a carved out room.  The !!clowns!! are registered as crushed.

But at this point, it might be simpler just to throw your entire military at them.
