Alright, dakarian, let's see. Right here is where you planted the seed of suspicion. Essentially, in that post, you were multiplying ExKirby's behavior into something suspicious. It just so happened that this was in response to a vote against webadict. Scum defending scum? Town scumhunting against a poorly reasoned vote? It could be either, really, but it was worth following up on.
Adding Pressure on a player to get a read on them.
Btw, if you had a suspicion there why didn't you bring it up at that time?
I did, if indirectly. I asked you about what you thought of webadict's vote. You response wasn't really all that revealing, but it wasn't particularly suspicious on its own. It ultimately didn't amount to all that much, so I decided not to question you on the matter.
Besides, I like approaching people I find mildly suspicious obliquely before directly.
I didn't want your help against webadict; I'm a big boy, I can defend myself (Given enough time to make a half-decent post). I asked your opinion because I wanted to gauge your reaction to webadict's behavior. Depending on your response, I would know more about you. This was not the case, however, as your response didn't really mean a whole lot one way or the other.
So instead of pushing the matter to try to get a read on me, or getting a feeling that the ExKirby comment was town or scum aligned, you just leave it alone.
Until I vote for you.
Yes, well, like I said. It really didn't amount to much. Until you voted for me. Defending webadict from poorly reasoned votes + casting a vote on whom webadict told you = pretty suspicious looking behavior. I didn't have time to ask you any questions about it on Day 1, so I did on Day 2.
In fact, I notice that not only do you panic upon one question and a pressure vote, that you also seem content to just hunt after those who are targeting you.
That's not such a bad place to start, is it? I know I'm town, so I'm scumhunting in the direction of the people voting for me. I need to find out whether they're town or not, and quickly, too, so I don't get too focused on them.
If I'm being defensive, it's because people are trying to lynch me for unreasonable reasons. If I'm being reactive, it's because people keep voting for me before I can respond. They are not inherently scum qualities.
You say that you're town yet instead of simply explaining yourself you quickly grow defensive and attack those who question you. When they stop attacking you, you leave them alone. I note that AFD and I, who both focused on you are targeted, but Web, who hasn't is untouched.
So defensive and scumhunting only enough to push away suspicion. Are you saying those are bad reasons to focus on someone?
No, not really. Are you saying that the people voting for me are bad places to begin scumhunting, especially when their votes are, in my opinion, poorly reasoned?
Further, webadict didn't begin the day voting for me. He also seemed to have forgotten his insanity, and was acting in a town-like manner. It also would have been suspicious of me to ponder why people are not voting for me, and I'm certain webadict would've jumped down my throat for it. So, let bygones be bygones, and let sleeping dragons lie.
Also, what lie are you talking about? I haven't lied, so you're just making things up or misled on the matter.
Your questions was why did I ask you about webadict's vote, correct?
...
Then you decided follow webadict's directions without even asking any questions and voted for me.
You note that I DID ask you a question, then turn around and say I didn't ask any questions.
In day 1, meanwhile, you reply to my question by saying that I'm not asking any questions, then say that you have no time to answer any questions.
You were asking the wrong person the questions.
You
should've been asking webadict why he was making mountains out of molehills. You
should've been pondering the reasons he was voting for me before you decided to cast your vote against me.
That's what I meant by "no questions asked".
Satisfied, dakarian? We can continue this for as long as you want, though I'd prefer not to spend all this time typing up and formatting walls of texts. Bad memories of BM1.
