You see, I have unfinished business as well, but it's a task I can never hope to fulfill. A being calling himself 'divine' has... defiled my loved one. He.... He.... Let's say she would have wished me to do this. Vengeance is the only option now.
But mortals can't touch the divine. They can do what they wish, breaking people, ending their life without fear of repercussion. Their false reign over us has to end!

He checked his jagged blades again. Both of his weapons were in perfect shape, yet something still felt wrong.
All of the 'divinities' he had slain thus far were just imposter's. Warlocks or demigods abusing their powers for 'favours' or 'fun'. They deserved every last thing they got.
But this time was different. It was as if he could smell the confidence and power bursting from his prey.
This market square must once have been the centre of this cities activities, even and especially at night. But now even the thugs stayed inside. All but one.
There his prey was. Vix lunged forward, ready to strike.... And passed right through his target, with little more then a yelp from a bystanding crow.

Characteristics:
The Arh Durem is a rare creature, often found in the presence of warlocks or demigods. Little is known about their origins or nature, with some claiming they are a separate, sentient race and others seeing them as a special variety of the well-known undead Revenant.
What is known is that they are always covered by a pitch-black robe and they always carry weapons, which are often concealed in their robes. Their faces are never seen and rumor has it that said face itself is a weapon as deadly as their weapons. They are, without exclusion, ambidextrous and always travvle on foot although they do cross as much land on a day as anyone riding.
Their figure is human-like, as is their voice, which does usually take on a very low, yet hoarse sound. They seem to prefer darkness, yet suffer no ill effects from direct sunlight.
In combat:
They are rarely seen in combat, but from the few accounts regarding them the following can be deducted:
They are capable fighters with almost any weapon and many non-weapon objects, though losing their weapon of choice seems to put them at a disadvantage.
As said they are ambidextrous, but, unlike most ambidextrous humanoid beings, also posses the ability to concentrate on both sides of their body at the same time, making them utterly unpredictable and a formidable opponent even to a group of people, as shown by the massacre of the Red Staffs.
Besides physical combat, the Arh Durem is capable of magic, mainly specialising in telekinesis and light bending. One account speaks of a Arh Durem using 2 additional telekinetically controlled weapons.
Nobody has yet seen a Arh Durem lose a fight, though several have been seen retreating. Wether this is a result of their inate characteristics or their ability to judge opponents beforehand is unknown.
Social interaction:
Arh Durem show a level of intelligence roughly equal to that of a human. In social situations they often seem restless and searching, yet they do not exhibit any specially agitating characteristics compared to other humanoids, though troublemakers may always find something to trouble them for, which is a very bad idea (see chapter 2 for a more formal definition of very bad idea).
They are well capable of engaging in conversations and often seem quite intelligent and well-mannered, if a bit hoarse, however they will rarely engage in conversation themselves and even then only to ask for information about certain persons and events. Offtimes they will also seem strangely occupied with these events. Sleeping Arh Durem have never been seen and some have declared that they will not rest untill their task is done. If this is metaphorical or not is unknown
