Alright, done with my turn. I will post the story later today hopefully.

Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?zzjdgn1yvvm

Notes for paragith.
The lever has a note saying what it does when pulled, so check it out before you tell krunk to pull it.
I got migrants in winter, so the pop is at 13. Actually, a fisher dwarf got killed by a kobold, so its at 12.
The dining room needs a door built and another table or so. The miners are engraving it.
The barracks has been engraved.
I haven't found runes yet, I think.
No sieges yet.
Orc traders came!?
The cloth industry is the main source of wealth, take care not to destroy it. So, investigate the farm plots before you unpause.
Most of the dwarfs do something related to cloth, so i suggest you rearrange labors a bit.
We have 2 anvils to use, you may consider getting the magma operations started.
I did put in a few hotkeys, so check them out and rearrange them.
The bedroom level is the lowest level, and needs to be worked on a lot.
The bowyer is also a wrestler, so I put him as our military. The spring migrants probably could fill up the rest of the gaps.

Need anything else?

Big wave came, turn will take long.
Nothing notable happened so far, except for feral oxen charged on dwarves and killed wardog.

Hahaha.

Ok, heres the first part of my narrative.

-------

Spring

“So, what do you want us to do?”

Ingiz Stukoserith, farmer, had been put in the position of expedition leader.
He had all the qualifications necessary, and the project managers new it.

“Well, first we shall choose a fort location. I want to start in the side of that deep cliff. After that, we need to plant farms. After that is set up, I need a cloth industry set up by the time the traders come. That shall be our main income source.”

All the miners, farmers, masons, and woodworkers scurried off to their various tasks.
Ingiz meanwhile began planting plump helmets and dimple cup sin the cave opening.

Ok, I love farming. I say that we have one plump helmet only farm plot.
A few others will be with plump helmets growing in one season or the other.
I have one dimple cup only plot. Some plots make pig tails during summer and autumn.

The miners have dug out the barracks now, and are working on the production level. Next they will make the cloth industry area.

Summer

Kobold thieves! How dare they.3 came, 2 were chased down and killed. The third, well, the cat did its best…

The miners have dug out the cloth industry area, now to begin making cloth. Us farmers will begin, and the miners will join as soon as they finish digging out the bedroom level.

Yay, the bridge has now been built, now to build traps; The greatest dwarven solution to drunk rectuits.

If an orcish siege were to appear now, we would be in trouble…

Dang it, a cat died and so did a dog. I think they strayed to far from the fort.

Ok, we have built a kennel, now to train 3 war dogs. They should help with the kobolds.

-------

What do you guys think of adding limiting traps to the rules?
By that, I mean stone fall, weapon, and cage traps. Magma flooding halls are cool traps, just fps eaters, but they are still ok. But try to limit them.

Also, I'm updating the rules with no sealing up the fort. Specifically, no sealing up the fort for longer than two seasons.

Orc traders came!?
wtF. Can't they read. They very clearly told us they wouldn't be trading with us. In writing.

They're probably scouting us out for a siege later.

Am currently away from my desktop at the library, will get on the save as soon as I get home. Should be on it in 2-3 hours.

Have the save am almost through with spring. would post story, but paragith hasn't and generally speaking stories should be written in chronological order.

Depends upon the traps...

Ok, but remember, don't make the traps too powerful...

Autumn

Oh no! Autumn has come. We don’t have much clothes spun yet, but at least most of those are dyed.

The merchants are here, and because of the stupid masons, no wagons.
Priority: make everyone a mason so that the trade depot gets built.
After that, get the goods loaded into the depot. I will trade for food and drink mainly.

Yes, there was almost nothing…
I was able to buy some food and drink, and some cloth…

Otherwise, there only was another kobold attack and that’s it.

Winter

So, it’s winter. Almost 1 whole year in this foreign rock.

Anyway, we got orc traders!?!?!?!? They clearly stated they would NOT trade with us…What is up with these people? Back in our world, people did what they said.

From the chasm came many antmen…All they do is interrupt our work.
I had the carpenter and woodcutter go into the fields and kill some.

The orcs brought almost nothing too, mainly food.

Wow, we have attracted migrants from the surrounding civilizations. Shall we let them in on our secret?
What would happen to us?

Oh, and a cave swallowmen ambushed them on their way here. I think it was the bowyer who immediately killed it.

“Hey, are you the expedition leader?” A stout bow maker walks up to Ingiz.

“What do you want?”

“I want to join the military.”

“Um…Ok…I guess we don’t have a use for a bowyer yet anyway.”

“Thank You!”

He runs off and goes hunting for wildlife to kill.

I'm disappointed with the quality, so I think I'll rewrite it. But remember that I wrote these after midnight.

Hey do you remember what the farm on the lower right is supposed to be making?
I screwed up modifying the bridges and collapsed a fortification through it.
I'm no good with the cloth industry, so i don't know what it should be making to not screw the industry over.

It depends which one are you talking about, the one at the entrance? (the entrance from my reign)
And which one from that entrance?

I suggest you take a screen of the plot you mean.

Don't worry about the cloth industry too much. You should probably set up a different industry to be the main one.
