For some reason, I can't run the .JNLP file even though I have Java on my computer. It says there's nothing to open it WITH, what's the directory for the executable that runs it?

EDIT: Herp derp, it seems the file wasn't even in .JNLP format, had to do that myself.

Maps aren't helping much, since I can't seem to pinpoint my location on any of them. Wandered the rivers aimlessly until I got mauled by a bear while I was replenishing my food supply.

Anyways, trying again. I will get there if it kills me.

if you spawned out in the wilds you could be pretty far.

The map linked above is the central map on a 5x5 grid of 25 maps that same size.

best thing to do would be to party up with someone at your destination through the kin system and just do you best to walk it out or maybe use boats, but with no map and twisting rivers that might not be as good as walking.

Another option is to just drown yourself and start over. You really couldnt have that many skills and you can inherit quite a bit what you do have on your new character anyway if you have not changed your personal beliefs too much.

Then again, you may just be enjoying the trek, which is totally what this game is about. Self imposed challenges and emergent gameplay are at tehe top of the fun list here.

Yeah, I started over. I lucked out and ended up in a place that I could recognize on the map, and found an unused boat near the start location. I'm searching for the loaction now.

That sucks. But how did you get so much bread?

I found your camp, finally. Set up between Crazy Point and Zebra Crossing, just above the dark to light green transition.

Aha.. I found the bread, actually.  It was hidden in a basket on the dark side of my house.

Where are you camped?

Between Crazy Point and Zebra Crossing, right on the river. The area is just above the transition from fur tree to birch/apple tree forest as well, you should see my boat and assorted objects around there.

he guys, unless one of you did something with our cabinet outside the cabin, then it decayed or was stolen.

Nothing TOO valuable in it, but all our tea and linen plus other useful bits.

Cupboards decay extremely quickly outside.

Decay is random; cupboards take 2 decay hits on dirt, 3 or 4 on stone iirc, if they get lucky and the random decay system doesn't pick them they could last indefinitely.

Well, TF should have two active soon.  Not that I am terribly active, but every once in a while I get a free window.
