Cleaning up sand?
« on: November 29, 2009, 01:21:37 am »

I've noticed that whenever I play on a map that has a biome with sand on/near the surface, the damn stuff eventually gets tracked all over the outsides of my fort, making it look really ugly. How do I clean the sand up?

Hey, I'm cool with you tying a dog up and shooting it with a ballista if you're short on elves, but there's not need to lie about it to us.

Your dwarves are trampling the grass. It should grow back eventually.

VERY eventually.

If you set high traffic paths andor build paved roads, the grass won't be in quite as much danger of being trampled and revealing the sand underneath.

Alright. I'll probably just pave over it a bit, in addition to setting some traffic zones.
