Find the capitol of a goblin kingdom. keep only the starting 7, and turn off migrants. now, breed and build until you get a goblin seige. now attempt survive as the entire capitol's population attempts to kill you. build a device to destroy the map should you fail

Dig Deeper?

I read the thread and the DFFD post, what exactly is it? To me it seems to be an item pack

I've always wanted to embark at a goblin tower, then cave it into the ground.

I've never tried it and there's a good chance it could make them freak out.

Generally makes the game harder, also messes with metals and stones a lot.  Do a search for it, the thread tells all about it.

Only in dwarven culture is alcohol poisoning a death worthed investigating, while being impaled through several toes, a eye, and a thumb from a spiraling water[3] is not.  Because everyone knows, the only way a dwarf could get alcohol poisoning is if someone put poison into the alcohol.

Mod in a megabeast. Give it a raw speed of zero, fire breath, fireballs, innate swimming, fire immunity, flight, building destroyer 2, no breath, no sleep, no think, the ability to set everything near it on fire, and guzzling. It will murder dwarves and set your booze stockpile on fire.

Just out of curiosity, what DOES Dwarf Fortress smell like?
Death, Booze, and Insanity.
Ladders are absolutely essential for one reason and one reason only:

Welcome, friends to Slaves to Armok III: Snakes and Ladders.

The game has not become boring, you have become unimmaginative.

Just start out with a simple fortress, no large ambitions.
When it's decision time for just about anything, just pick the absolute last thing you would ever do.
fun will ensue.

I also had periods of thinking the game was boring. Then deciding to attempt to capture a GCS and collect all its silk suddenly made the game interesting. Took 2 or 3 dwarves to do it right, but that was one more addition for my zoo.

In dig deeper they have steel weapons and can avoid traps and pick locks. In other words, they will ruin you every time.

You all do know that we everytime we gen a world in DF, a new universe is created somewhere, and everytime we delete a save we kill a whole world?
Aye, we are Armok, god of blood, evil, villager gutting, fortress building, legend making and elf thongs.
