A poll for a school project

For a school project I have to design a better toilet paper holder. As a part of this, I wish to find out which material the majority of toilet paper holders are made of.

If you have multiple toilet paper holders that are made of different materials, please choose the Other option and specify.

EDIT: Might as well throw this here as well. Is your toilet paper holder attached to the wall, or is it part of a stand?

I don't know about your house Toonster, but 8 people cannot all cram into 1 bathroom in the morning for showers.

Mine is ceramic.
Also, the cylinder is almost always plastic.
Unless you've got a special holder that lets you just slide the paper on.

Metal. Make one that automatically lowers the toilet paper when you move your hand in to grab some. That is the only improvement I could think of. Knowing the Japanese super toilets, it has already been done thou.

Just a convenient shelf for me, nothing fancy.  I used to have a freestanding metal holder thing (like an umbrella stand), but I lost it in a move.
