Butchering humaniods

Is it possible to have my dwarves butcher members of other races?  :D

I think [CAN_SPEAK] makes them butcher proof. Although I'm really not sure.

Nope, it's to do with ethics - one of the few ethics-related options that actually means something at the moment.

Open entity_default.txt, and at the first entry (MOUNTAIN), find:

Code: [Select]
[ETHIC:EAT_SAPIENT_OTHER:UNTHINKABLE]
[ETHIC:EAT_SAPIENT_KILL:UNTHINKABLE]

And replace that with:


Code: [Select]
[ETHIC:EAT_SAPIENT_OTHER:ACCEPTABLE]
[ETHIC:EAT_SAPIENT_KILL:ACCEPTABLE]

Pretty damn sure it works, worked on the Dark Dwarves mod (which was the last time I used it).

Who knows, I might be wrong. But a couple of the other ethics features work as well (notably KILL_PLANT - elves, anyone?).
