I don't hate Twilight, though I dislike it, I'd have to read and/or watch it to know enough to hate it.

I do hate the bat-crazy fans it seems to attract.

Seriously, nothing is that good.

Nothing.

Back in my day we hunted vampires for sport.

Twilight: Repercussions of Evil.
Bella Swan waited. The lights above her blinked and sparked out of the air. There were vampires in the US. She didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. Her warnings to Renée Dwyer were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Bella was a bitchy emo kid for sixteen(?) years. When she was young she watched the "Interviev with a vampire" and she said to dad "I want to be on the glittering hunks daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY VAMPIRES"
There was a time when she believed him. Then as she got oldered she stopped. But now in the high school class of the USA she knew there were vampires.
"This is your stepfather" the radio crackered. "You must fight the vampires!"
So Bella gotted her emo attitude and blew up the suspense.
"SHE GOING TO KILL US" said the audience
"I will sparkle at her" said the vampire Edward and he treated her like shit. Bella emoed at him and tried to make him care. But then the plot fell and they were trapped and not able to glitter.
"No! I must kill the vampires" she shouted
The radio said "No, Bella. You are the vampire"
And then Bella was a movie star.

When did Bella turn Emo?

Since when is being moody and depressing the definition of emo?

I'm sorry, I thought those terms were interchangeable.

I'm sorry, I thought those terms were interchangeable.

They are treated as such by the community... but frankly it leads to a much more annoying tendency to call anyone who has emotion that isn't anger or happyness as "Emo".

It is starting to turn into "Ironic", lets just toss that around until it is meaningless

So there's a movie coming out with a new take on wampires.  Apparently it's like the future, and almost everyone is a vampire.  The last few humans are farmed for blood, but they're running out and have to make a substitute or everyone will go batty (hurr) and start killing each other for blood.  The humans are fighting or something, or maybe helping the vampires.  It's hard to tell, because the vampires look just like people except with fangs.

I saw trailer for that movie at the end of a TV show i watch, but they didn't say they name (After i saw the trailer and realized it wasn't a crappy romantic comedy).

I sort of thought emos were people in rather well-off situations that mope around, claim no one understands them, pretend they're in the worst possible situation in the world when really it's fixable if they just do things for themselves or ask for help, don't allow anyone to try and make them feel better and injure themselves for the attention of others.

...

Actually, if I've got the plot of New Moon right, Bella sort of does qualify.

That's what I thought emo was too.  But apparently it's something much broader.

"Emo" originally referred to people who listened to Emo music, also known as punk rock. The depressing lyrics and sad tones of the songs means that most "emo" kids are thus less than happy. To put it gently. But that was several years ago. I don't have any idea what it means now.

Well the term has mutated a bit, and I think it's more what I said than kids who enjoy listening to downer music.

Jack has it spot on, the whiny as hell bitchy kids that don't really care to fix any of their petty problems, instead lounging about in the best things their parents can provide for them and complaining. May Helios park his chariot upon their foreheads.

I thought it was emotive hardcore?  Real punk rock, from what I've heard of it, is hardly emo.  Of course, the punk rock we have now is stuff like All American Rejects, so maybe you're right.

I was under the impression that 'Emo' was slang for 'Emotional' and basically meant anyone who basically sat around and whined all day. Sure you could dress up in semi-gothic fashion, but it was by no means neccessary.
