I just had a delicious steak, it was delicious. Despite the fact that ethically I really can agree with vegetarianism, and it makes sense economically as well, I just like meat too much to give it up.

I meant getting people's meat that they bought (with either money or the sweat of their brows or cunning or cold hard steel) then realized they shouldn't eat it, and them giving it to me.  mmm... second hand meat.

If they did, that information is pretty dam important.

There was organ meat involved, according to the article, which is actually very important if you're going to do nothing but eat meat all the time.


Also keep in mind that this was in, what, the 1920s? Certain things might have been a little outdated. Would be interesting to try again.

yes, the article states as much. meat, fat, kidney, liver, brain. They also mention that a high fat intake is important for the diet to work, otherwise health issues arise after a few days/weeks.

Curiously, it's mostly free-ranged cattle that's hurting ecosystems (mostly rainforests, which are burned down en-mass for a one-time shot at having a field of grass, which doesn't work for long since the rain washes nutrients away too fast.

Take that, PETA.  You're saving cows, but you're hurting the rainforests!  Mwuhahahaa.

PETA hardly even counts. They're just plain ridiculous by practically any standards.


But yeah, the issue there is that people focus too much on one thing. Sure, free-range cattle are good, but you still need to make sure your practice are actually sustainable. If you're just torching rainforest regularly, well, that's not going to work out.
