Onto the criticism. I listened to it twice, and I don't get what the glass goblet mandate had to do with nobody having socks. The dorf was talking about it like he was explaining the reasoning behind the sock shortage, but one wasn't given.

Yeah, I try to do little exposition.  It was mostly a reference to DS: Crime & Punishment, and the fact that everybody has been trying to make glass goblets rather than worry about the basics.
