« on: November 24, 2009, 11:52:23 pm »

One of my dwarf champion with sword went outisde and drove out a whole werewolf siege by himself........

Im using relentless assault mod and werewolf and kindof DEADLY in my head i see them like deathclaw in fallout if anybody ever played a fallout game. But this guy completly drove a whole assault by himself...... and the funny thing is.. NOT EVEN a scratch!.....

Whats your best fight you saw?

Edit: total kill log 70

that was a luky dwarf. I had one dabbling surgeon fail so spectacularly that the patient skull flew a tile away from the table.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Imagine the spawn of Tholthig and Captain Ironblood....
That particular breed of dwarves might just be what we need to kill the elven menace for good!

Alas, she was only around for world gen. I am still trying to engineer a world that would allow me to play an adventurer a year before she dies, but so far I've only gotten it to generate the original state of the world; then a random dwarf dies wrongly and the entirety of history is thrown off.

Though if I had to extrapolate from the armor of leaders that attack fortresses, masterwork steel armor with exceptional decorations, and a masterwork steel warhammer.

And exactly one hundred and fifty-six pages of elf leather jewelry.

Yeah you'll be able to feel her presence when you get near in the form of a 80% decrease in FPS :D

That's exactly how I think of them too. ;D

Just for context, assuming jocan is using the current version (they're tougher in older ones), those things are more than twice as fast and almost twice as big as a dwarf, with a nasty 1-7 damage natural attack and iron weapons (albeit with light armor, elf-level damblock and kobold-level courage).

Every single adventurer death when I'm using the mimiga mod for Dwarf fortress
They usually involve the tiny thing getting brutally murdered by what usually is a fairly avoidable creature. For instance. I died in about 4-5 turns against a pack of wolves.

The strangest fight I've seen is when my Human spearman broke a bears face by throwing his shield, gouged it's eyes out and stuck his spear in its gut then spent 10 minutes trying to strangle it to death while the bear had it's jaws locked around my guys head. We called it a draw when it was clear neither one was going to die.
